Overview

This is a top-end showcase of an Infernalist Cast on Comet build, an update to an earlier version that nearly tripled its damage and almost doubled its defences. The identity is simple and absurd: effectively infinite mana lets you spam Comet to the point the screen whites out, while heavy armour stacking turns the character into a brick. The creator is emphatic that this is a showcase of the ceiling, not a budget guide, and that most of the gear shown is well beyond what an average player will assemble.

The damage leap comes from dropping a Redblade shield in favour of a heavily crafted focus, with deterministic crafting steps (fracture spell damage, chaos-spam the level of all spells, socketables) doing most of the work. Defensively the build now sits on around 42k armour unbuffed, climbing toward 60k with Scavenge Plating, and leans on Rune of Hollowing and Rune of the Heart conversion plus a stacked-runic-ward focus for a large guard pool on demand.

It has also been streamlined into essentially a single-button playstyle through Cast on Elemental Ailments and the amulet’s Cast on Elemental trigger. The creator presents it as aspirational: pull tech and ideas from it rather than treating it as a step-by-step plan.

• Diminishing returns near the top (Voices, Dawn florid jewels) cost exorbitant amounts for little gain

The chest swaps back to a regular armour base for a massive raw armour source, with Rune of Hollowing and Rune of the Heart driving runic ward conversion. Marksman-modifier gloves add a rare jewel, and an Embodiment of Frost megalomaniac (cheap at one to two divine) covers freeze. The planned next upgrades are 50 spirit on the amulet so the helmet enchant can be dropped for a Raven’s Touched helmet running Metamorph generator plus charge regulation, turning passive power-charge generation into multiplicative crit. Endgame Notes

The creator reports clearing everything thrown at it: T16, juiced expeditions, overrun Abyss, stacked Breach and rare packs, without dying once and even standing in expedition ground effects. The build is described as already past the point of overkill, with remaining upgrades (Voices, Dawn jewels) framed as pure flex rather than necessity.
