    0.5.4b Patch Notes
    Boss Improvements
    • Removed a majority of the stun and freeze immunity windows from all versions of the Tor Gul, the Defiler boss fight.[/*]
    • Improved the Minion Phase in the Tasgul, Swallower of Light fight.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where It That Was Esh could sometimes fail to advance phases properly.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the Arbiter of Divinity could rarely drop loot in an unreachable location.[/*]
    • Defeating the Arbiter of Divinity now re-enables the exit elevator.[/*]
    • Extended the time the player has to get into the first Flame Seed during the combo skill that begins with the Large Laser in the Arbiter of Ash boss fight.[/*]
    • The voiceline used by the Arbiter of Ash when doing his skill which creates lanes of fiery death now plays at the start of the skill, instead of after he rises up to the air.[/*]
    • Made the following improvements to the Vessel of Kulemak boss fight:
    • Fixed an issue where it could get stuck after its Teleport Slam skill.[/*]
    • Disabled the skill used during the final phase of the fight that summoned minions.[/*]
    • The Volatiles spawned during the final phase of the fight now spawn in bursts, with a significantly longer time between each burst. This is to allow for more time to fight and damage the boss.[/*]
    • Improved the visual feedback of the portals during the final phase. Further improvements to these will be coming at a later time.[/*]
    • Adjusted the blocking of the abyss in the middle of the arena during the final phase to more closely reflect the actual shape.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where after killing the Vessel of Kulemak for the first time in a given instance, reviving at checkpoint would not put players in a new instance.[/*]
[/*][*]Made the following improvements to the Arbiter of Divinity boss fight:
    • The voicelines used by the boss are now guaranteed for his notable skills, as opposed to having a low chance to play.[/*]
    • The voicelines used by the boss now have less variance, so you can better correlate specific lines to specific skills.[/*]
    • The Divinity Clones created during the second phase of the fight now have a significantly larger hitbox allowing them to more easily be hit and killed while you have the Divinity buff.[/*]
    • Increased the windows of time between certain attacks and many of the combo skills to make dodge rolling these skills more consistent. This is also accompanied by a number of visual telegraphing improvements and reduction in aggression on target tracking speed.[/*]
[/*][*]Made the following improvements to the Phya, Sentinel of the Cradle boss fight in The Matriarch Halls:
    • Improved telegraphing and visuals of the Dashing Sunders skill.[/*]
    • The Dashing Sunders skill now correctly deals Physical damage, instead of Cold Damage.[/*]
    • Reduced the frequency and count of projectiles fired by the Generator.[/*]
    • Removed the chilling ground from the projectiles fired by the Generator.[/*]
    • The Generator will now stop firing projectiles during the Gravity Well and the Turret Sunder phases.[/*]
    • The Gravity Well phase will now correctly hit you if you fail to make it to the safe zones anywhere in the arena. Previously you could avoid this by hiding behind the spheres in the four corners.[/*]
    • Gravity Wells can no longer be created outside of the arena.[/*]
    • If you fail the Gravity Well phase while Shapeshifted you are now transformed back into a human and thrown into the air. Previously nothing would happen to your character and you'd just take damage without knowing why.[/*]
    • Improved the visuals of the 'dash' skills to look more like a teleport as intended.[/*]
    [/*]Expedition Improvements
    • Logbooks that add a Boss Expedition now prioritise replacing regular Maps over Grand Expeditions.[/*]
    • Modifiers in Grand Expedition now appear in the map stats list when inside the area.[/*]
    • Added an additional option to the Expedition Atlas Tree "Double or Nothing" Notable, allowing players to select no change if desired.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where some monsters in Expeditions could become invisible and invincible.[/*]
    • Fixed an issue where Medved, Vorana, Uhtred and Olroth were not considered Powerful Map Bosses. This means they also now have notably more Life.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Verisium Sentry minimap icons would not disappear upon activating them.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Barren Atoll did not have a Grand Expedition Map Marker.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Underground Areas in Expeditions and Grand Expeditions could sometimes spawn with all their monsters dead. This would occur if the underground area was opened with an explosive that also activated a Remnant encounter and that Remnant encounter had the Life Rune. The monsters in the underground area would then have their life shared with the Remnant monsters and would thus be killed when the Remnant monsters were defeated. This was also why Styrn, Fallen Knight of Aldur would sometimes be dead when entering his cave.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug that prevented players from rerolling remnants when using a controller.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the loot from Underground Areas in Expeditions and Grand Expeditions could be redirected to a Verisium Remnant. This would cause the monsters in the underground areas to appear to drop no items.[/*]
    • Fixed an issue where underground areas in Grand Expedition could sometimes be accessed without detonating the entrance.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Oath Rune could spawn monsters in blocked or inaccessible areas.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug with Verisium Remnants in Grand Expeditions where monsters (without Oath Rune necessarily) could spawn out-of-bounds and prevent completion.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the following Grand Expedition areas could be attempted infinitely: Craggy Peninsula, Lush Isle, Frigid Bluffs, Barren Atoll, and Exhumed Ruins.[/*]
    Endgame Improvements
    • The Queen in the Mists can now only have 1 active Whirling Slash at a time.[/*]
    • Monsters Corrupted by the Offerings to the Queen Atlas Passive now have 100% increased Rarity of Items Dropped (from 50%).[/*]
    • The Distant Origins Atlas Passive Skill now notifies the player when it reveals The Ezomyte Megaliths on their Atlas.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Doryani's Head of the Snake and Jado's Untold Histories Atlas Master options were applying their bonuses to non-Pinnacle Endgame bosses.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Jado's Untold Histories Atlas Master option was not applying to Expedition Bosses, except for Styrn, Fallen Knight of Aldur who was incorrectly receiving the 50% bonus instead of the 35% bonus.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Hilda's Gutting and Skinning Atlas Master options were not working on the Vessel of Kulemak, The Raven Trickster, and Atziri, the Red Queen.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the Lord of the Runes Atlas Passive Skill was not applying the Toughness from Monster Effectiveness.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the Whispers of the Waving Grains Atlas Passive Skill was not applying.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the Trapped Subordinate Essence Atlas Passive Skill was not adding additional rare chance as expected.[/*]
    • Fixed an issue with the spawning condition of the Immured Fury. It is now able to spawn any time after you have completed 3 Corruption Nexuses, so you can complete additional Corruption Nexuses to find the boss if you failed to kill them the first time.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the From Distances Untold Cleansed Atlas Passive Skill was applying to non-Cleansed areas.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the Sole Purpose: Destruction Breach Atlas Passive Skill was not increasing damage of Skills granted by Ailith.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the Expanding Territory: Remnants and Warring Survivors Atlas Passive Skills, as well as Hilda's Mighty Prey and Patient Battue Atlas Master options were not applying their random chance to apply correctly.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the Training and Preparation Atlas Passive Skill did not apply when opening the Temple of Atziri from the Vaal Ruins in Act 3.[/*]
    • Fixed some cases where certain standalone bosses, such as those spawned by Summoning Circles could disable area transitions. This could cause areas such as the Sun Temple Map to be uncompletable.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where maps with an extra completion objective would not complete if a player had completed the required objective but later died to the map boss and respawned.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Atziri's Temple was sometimes created at the wrong monster level.[/*]
    • Fixed an issue where some players were unable to get a replacement Origin Cradle from Doryani in the Tower of Origin, preventing the use of the Precursor Reactor.[/*]
    • Fixed an issue where Delirium Fog Banks spawned on Atlas nodes it shouldn't have.[/*]
    • Fixed an issue where Grand Delirium Mirrors in the Deforestation Map could not be interacted with.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where areas could preview the incorrect amount of Deliriousness when being selected from the Atlas Map.[/*]
    • Simulacrum areas no longer preview any amount of Deliriousness when being selected from the Atlas Map. This is purely a visual change.[/*]
    • Simulacrum icons on the Atlas Map are now described as "Contains a manifestation of Delirium". This is purely a descriptive change.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where some Azmerian Wisps could cause Breach encounters to be uncompletable.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where players could get stuck in the Ancient Lexicon room in The Burning Monolith.[/*]
    General Improvements and Bug Fixes
    • You can now copy a placed hideout decoration by right-clicking it, then left-clicking to place it. This allows you to quickly replicate Hideout Decorations if you need to place many of the same one.[/*]
    • Added support for upgrading runes using a Masterwork Rune in the Martial Artist's Runic Meridians inventory.[/*]
    • Advanced Runeshape recipes now indicate when a Skill reward level has reached its maximum.[/*]
    • Updated the Map Pin art for the Great White One to convey the fact that it now gives a quest reward that grants permanent character bonuses.[/*]
    • Added support for the Martial Artist's Way of the Stonefist Ascendancy Passive for the Master's Reach Unique Gloves.[/*]
    • Temporarily disabled the damage from the burning ground created by Birth of Fury Unique boots when equipped by a Rogue Exile.[/*]
    • The Orb of Sacrifice currency items have been added to the Currency Exchange.[/*]
    • The Dominus' Providence Passive Skill no longer provides Unaffected by Elemental Weakness, which was not correctly applying. It now provides 30% reduced effect of Curses on you.[/*]
    • Azmerian Wisps can now only be released from a monster once, the first time a monster is killed.[/*]
    • An inherent Skill that has had a Perfect Jeweller's Orb applied to it now correctly transfers all the sockets when transformed to Fists of Stone.[/*]
    • Passive Skills allocated from using the From Nothing Unique Jewel are now properly reset when fully respeccing.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug that could cause the buff granted by the Rain of Blades Skill to be removed early when gaining a different buff.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where monsters in Abyssal Depths were not benefiting from increased chance for Abyssal monsters to have Abyssal or Lichborn Modifiers. In addition to the guaranteed Abyssal Modifier all Rare monsters in Abyssal Depths have, they will now have a chance of an additional modifier, and a chance of Lichborn modifiers.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the Meteoric Demise Abyss monster modifier dealt no Damage.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the Untether Skill (granted by The Master's Reach Unique Gloves) gained a second Quality stat from the Gemling Legionnaire's Advanced Thaumaturgy Passive Skill.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Runic Reprieve's Quality when you have the Gemling Legionnaire's Advanced Thaumaturgy Passive Skill allocated was instead increasing the amount of damage you take from Blocked Hits rather than decreasing it.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where you could create a Portal to Town while being hit. The animation is correctly interrupted again in this case.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Torvian's Leap Slam would sometimes not move him at all, and sometimes he'd go backwards.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the Recover X% of maximum Life when you use a Warcry modifier was recovering life on all Skill uses instead of just Warcries.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where items that are consumed by interacting with certain objects, such as the Pinnacle Boss Key used to access the Vessel of Kulemak boss fight, would be consumed from both the main inventory and the Titan's expanded inventory needlessly.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Essence of Horror encounters could spawn permanent invulnerable minions.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Quality did not apply to some Jewel modifiers.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Lightning Arrow could not chain to Lightning Rods created by Shockchain Arrow.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Cursecarver was unable to generate with Vulnerability as its chosen curse (those cases instead picked Elemental Weakness, leading to higher rates of that option). This does not change existing items.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where the Ironbound Unique Bow was not granting Armour.[/*]
    • Added a verisium Runeforge upgrade for the Ironbound Unique Bow.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Monstrous Treasure was used for the name of 2 different Ancient Modifiers, the version that grants Map Bosses a Unique Item is now named Behemoth's Bounty. This is purely a descriptive change.[/*]

If you've ever wanted to solve your problems with an unreasonable number of exploding frogs, this build may be exactly what you're looking for.

Doedre's Undoing is a Lineage Support Gem that transforms curses into areas of cursed ground. While enemies standing within these areas become cursed, the real attraction is that they also begin spawning Witchtoads. These amphibious allies leap toward nearby enemies before exploding in a burst of Chaos damage, making them the true stars of the build.

At ExileCon this November, we will be hosting competitive Path of Exile events live on the main stage. Both events will be the culmination of a series of four qualifier events where the best racers will compete for a spot in the finale.

For Path of Exile 1 qualifiers, we’ll announce the details later.

For Path of Exile 2, in each qualifier event, players will compete to be the first to defeat Tavakai in Act Four in a Solo Self-Found Runes of Aldur fixed layout environment. While this is not a Hardcore Event, players will incur a penalty upon death where they will not be able to move until a two and a half minute period has lapsed.

The qualifier events are PC only.

In order to join, click the "Join" button for the race in the Character Select screen. You'll then be prompted to create a character. Once you've spawned in, you won't be able to move your character until the race starts.

Path of Exile 2 Qualifier Event Times and Dates
    • Qualifier One - August 6 2PM PDT
    • Qualifier Two - August 13 2PM PDT
    • Qualifier Three - August 20 2PM PDT
    • Qualifier Four - August 27 2PM PDT
We suggest that you join the races early, as each race will start at the same time for all players.
    Prizes
    • The first player to kill Tavakai in each event will receive the following:
    • Flights to Auckland, New Zealand for the weekend of ExileCon
    • Accommodation in Auckland for the weekend of ExileCon
    • Entrance into the ExileCon Path of Exile 2 Race Finale
    • An Ultra VIP ExileCon ticket
    • A Demigod's Virtue Unique Helmet
    Rules to Qualify:
    • These races are free to participate in and anyone is welcome to join.
    • You must connect your Path of Exile account to Twitch and stream your participation (on the linked account) for the whole event. If we can't watch any portion of your streamed entry, you are not eligible to win.
    • If you win one of the qualifier events, you are not eligible to win another.
    • If for some reason one of the event winners is not able to come to New Zealand, their ExileCon tickets, accommodation and flights will transfer to the person who achieves the next fastest time in any event. They will still receive their Demigod's Virtue but the other prizes will be transferred to the next eligible person.
    • You must abide by Path of Exile's Terms of Service and Twitch's Terms of Service
    • Unsportsmanlike conduct at any time in the leadup to ExileCon may result in you being disqualified from the event.
    • Past and present Grinding Gear Games employees are not eligible to win prizes in these events.
    Where to Watch
Each of these events will be hosted live on twitch.tv/pathofexile with shoutcasting by ZiggyD and RaizQT. Co-streaming is welcome!

We look forward to seeing the results! Good luck to everyone who is planning to participate.

    0.5.4 Patch Notes
    • This patch introduces a brand new Atlas Passive Tree for Runes of Aldur, expanded Expedition customisation, level-scaling Unique Items, a new currency item for Atziri’s Temple, and more.[/*]
    Runes of Aldur Changes
    • Added an Expedition Atlas Passive Skill Tree. You can earn Atlas Passive Points for this by defeating each Boss in The Grand Expedition questline.[/*]

    • After killing Atziri, the Red Queen, her Vault now has a chance to drop 1 of 4 new Orb of Sacrifice currency items. These currencies upgrade Corrupted Enchantments on items, at the cost of randomly removing an Explicit Modifier.[/*]
    • Reduced the Chaos Damage bonus granted to The Arbiter of Ash when he plunges his sword into the Chaos Sphere.[/*]
    • Reduced the duration of the damage bonuses The Arbiter of Ash gains after plunging his sword into the Chaos or Cold Spheres from 30 seconds to 20 seconds.[/*]
    • Improved the visual timing of the Orbs of Divinity being orb-sorbed and granting the Divinity buff in the Arbiter of Divinity boss fight.[/*]
    • A number of the Pinnacle Bosses have had their resistances lowered as they were unintentionally too high.[/*]
    • Reduced the damage of the Lightless Serpent's Burning Ground in the Vessel of Kulemak boss fight.[/*]

    New Content Features
    • Unique Items that grant Skills now use the lowest level of the Skill that you meet the requirements of when equipped, scaling up to the maximum described level on the item as you meet the Skill requirements. As an example, the Lifesprig Unique Wand that grants Level 20 Mana Drain is now able to be equipped at level 1, which will grant level 1 Mana Drain.[/*]

This has a chance to drop from the Vessel of Kulemak Pinnacle Boss Fight when he's fully empowered by the Liches.[/*][*]Holding Alt on a Currency item or stackable Fragment will now show the count of that Currency or Fragment within the same inventory, including trade windows.[/*][*]Added a checkbox to hide the "You have Died" UI while you are dead.[/*][*]General Changes and Improvements[/*][*]The following Augments can no longer be socketed into Augment Sockets on Corrupted or Sanctified items, as those items would not be able to be modified: Astrid's Creativity, Katla's Gloom, Kolr's Hunt, Medved's Tending, Raven-Touched Shard, Serle's Triumph, Thrud's Might, Uhtred's Sidereus, and Vorana's Carnage.[/*][*]Gorian, the Moving Earth has had his tail amputated to prevent it blocking other monsters or locations as it was causing Simulacrum to be unable to be completed.[/*][*]Made various improvements and bug fixes to the Trade Market UI when using a controller.[/*]Bug Fixes
    • Fixed another instance which prevented the "This item's price differs from the one you initially travelled to this shop for" warning not appearing in certain situations.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Runes socketed into the Rune-only Sockets granted by the Martial Artist's Runic Meridians Passive Skill would not count towards the total number of Runes you had socketed.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Atlas Passive Skills were not applying to Abyssal Depths areas.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug which would allow selecting multiple Delirium Shards in Simulacrum without the Are you sure you want to do that? Delirium Atlas Passive allocated.[/*]

    0.5.3 Patch Notes
    • This patch contains a wide range of improvements to the endgame, making investment feel more rewarding across the board, improving scaling for late game players, and ensuring that each mechanic has clearer opportunities for risk and reward.[/*]
    Runes of Aldur Changes
    • The maximum number of Remnants in a Grand Expedition now increases per Waystone Tier, with the highest number of Remnants possible to be found in Tier 15+ Maps.[/*]
    • Grand Expedition chests have been greatly improved:[/*]
    • All the basic Weapon and Armour chests have been removed. Now you should find an abundance of Chests which drop Currency, Unique Items and Waystones. Additonally there are now mysterious chests that drop regular items and trinket chests both of which drop items with a very high Rarity bonus.[/*]
    • You can now place 15 Explosives (from 20) in a Grand Expedition to reduce the length of the encounter, combined with the higher value chests and increased number of Remnants your decisions will also be more important.[/*]
    • Styrn, Fallen Knight of Aldur in the Tomb of the Fallen Knight now always drops an Expedition Logbook.[/*]
    • The Runic Modifiers on Monsters granted by Runic Inscriptions now improve the rewards of the Monsters more significantly. These have in most cases been doubled, in some cases significantly more.[/*]
    • Transcendent Alloy can once again be applied to Foci and Wands, granting the same effects as when applied to Staves but at lower values.[/*]
    • Lowered the amount of defences lost when Runeforging high level non-Unique Armour base types by approximately 20%, the amount of Runic Ward gained remains the same. Existing items will be automatically updated to the new higher values.[/*]
    • Improved the performance of Fragments of the Past's mortar explosion effect and reduced the amount of blur used by the effect.[/*]
    Endgame Changes
    • Previously attempted Maps now additionally have 50% reduced Experience earned on top of the already penalised Item Rewards.[/*]
    • Followers of the King in the Mists have taken up residence within the maze in the Crux of Nothingness, and aim to kill you as you try to escape the maze.[/*]
    Delirium Changes
    • Simulacrums now start at 100% Delirious, scaling up to 200%. This was previously intended to be 0% scaling up to 100%, but was actually not working at all.[/*]
    • Simulacrum Maps are no longer spawned immediately when spreading Delirium fog on the Atlas. Instead, they are now spawned when reaching 100% Deliriousness in the fog bank.[/*]
    • Maps with Fog on the Atlas now have their special Mirror Shards shown on the Delirium Progress bar, with a player distance indicator and slight visual changes to indicate the player is in fog anywhere in the map. This is purely a visual change.[/*]
    • The You can't just wake up from this one Notable Delirium Passive Skill now also provides Simulacrums now spawn Shards between Waves, allowing a single selection:[/*]
    • Escalating Threats: Adds an additional Modifier to the area. These modifiers generally add danger and reward.[/*]
    • Apex Predators: Adds an additional Boss to the Encounter.[/*]
    • Pure Emotions: Adds additional monster packs to the encounter.[/*]
    • The Are you sure you want to do that? Notable Delirium Atlas Passive Skill no longer grants Tablets have double Effect in areas with a Grand Mirror, instead now granting Areas with Grand Mirrors also have a Delirium Mirror. It also now provides 20% chance Shards within Simulacrums allow multiple selections.[/*]
    • The You thought you were free? Notable Delirium Passive Skill has had its wording updated to 25% chance an additional Simulacrum is transformed when Delirium Fog reaches 100% Deliriousness. This change is just to reflect the overall changed functionality and will result in the same number of Simulacrums.[/*]
    • The scaling of Delirium Fog has been halved to make Delirium not as difficult when encountering it early in the Endgame. To make up for this, Delirium Tablets now scale the effect of the Delirium Fog when using multiple Tablets, including Maps with Grand Mirrors or those within Fog Banks. When using three Delirium Tablets the scaling will be at its previous value.[/*]
    • Improved Delirium Pure Escalation shards, these will now enhance all normal shards to release Pure Emotion Delirium Monster packs, as opposed to just the special Shards that were on the Bar. You can now also see when these shards are enhanced as they are imbued with a purple glassy energy.[/*]
    • Added additional Monsters to the Loathsome Mire.[/*]
    • Summoning Circle encounters now pause Delirium Fog. It is paused when starting the encounter, and paused again when defeating the boss spawned by the Summoning Circle.[/*]
    • Further reduced the toughness scaling on specifically Normal and Magic Monsters in Delirium to be identical to Rares.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug preventing normal Shards spawning above 150% Delirious depth. This accounted for at least thirty packs of monsters.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug that prevented Delirium Elites from spawning as Rares or Magic Monsters.[/*]
    • Fixed an issue where Delirium fog would sometimes not spread to the correct number of Maps.[/*]
    Breach Changes
    • Increased the number of Maps that spawn in Breach Strongholds. The size of the Stronghold in the infinite Atlas should now be approximately the same size as the one encountered near the Ziggurat.[/*]
    • Improved the user experience when consuming Breach Fruits in large quantities. You can now Ctrl+Click the button that normally births a Wombgift to activate the cursor into a mode where you can rapidly click all the Wombgifts in your inventory and drop the items.[/*]
    • Adjusted the Modifiers that are applied to Maps in a Breach Stronghold when using an additional Breachstone with the Tear Open the Rift Breach Atlas Passive Skill:[/*]
    • The Modifier to Ailith Skill Damage can no longer roll.[/*]
    • Modifiers to the chance to find specific Wombgift types can no longer roll.[/*]
    • Added the following new Modifiers:[/*]
    • All Monsters spawned in Breach Hives are at least Magic.[/*]
    • Ailith can create Dreamer's Sight. A new skill which creates a zone that upgrades the Rarity of Monsters that enter it.[/*]
    • Ailith can create Otherworldly Nemesis. A new skill which adds an additional Pack with a Rare Monster to the start of each wave.[/*]
    • Ailith can create Xesht's Fervour. A new skill which increases the Effectiveness of all monsters spawned in the Breach Hive.[/*]
    • Additionally the Ailith Skill which previously spawned a small amount of Magic Monsters now adds 2 Packs of Magic Monsters to the start of each wave.[/*]
    Abyss Changes
    • Conquering the Vessel of Kulemak now has a chance to drop Ancient Jawbones, Ancient Ribs and Ancient Collarbones.[/*]
    • Tasgul, Swallower of Light will now always drop Desecrated Currency.[/*]
    • Vandroth, Blackblooded Enslaver will now always drop Desecrated Currency.[/*]
    • The final Large Abyssal Trove in Abyssal Depths will now always contain Desecrated Currency.[/*]
    • Improved the visuals of the Abyss Strongboxes.[/*]
    • The Close to the Surface Abyss Atlas Passive Skill now additionally has Abyss Tablets also grant Abyssal Depths 25% increased chance for Monsters to have Abyssal Modifiers, 25% Abyss Tablets also grant Abyssal Depths increased chance for Monsters to have Lichborn Modifiers, and Abyss Tablets also grant Abyssal Depths 4% increased Pack Size.[/*]
    • Added 13 new Abyssal Wasting Modifiers for the Grip of Kulemak Unique Ring.[/*]
    • The 'of Amanamu' Staff Suffix Modifier granting +12-16% to Block Chance now grants +20-25% to Block Chance.[/*]
    • Added a new 'of Kurgal' Staff Suffix Modifier granting +3-4 Maximum Stacks of Puppetmaster.[/*]
    • Added a new 'Amanamu's' Staff Prefix Modifier granting Gain 40-50% of Damage as Extra Chaos Damage.[/*]
    • The His Grave Command Skill granted by The Unborn Lich Unique Staff no longer has a Spirit cost (previously a percentage based Spirit Reservation similar to Tame Beast). Quality on His Grave Command now grants 0-20% more Minion Life (previously 0-20% increased Reservation Efficiency).[/*]
    • Many of the Grip of Kulemak Desecrated Modifiers have been combined into a single Modifier, increased numerically, or disabled. Existing items can be updated using a Divine Orb to receive the new values, however new Modifiers will only generate on new versions of the item.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where Abyssal Depths areas sometimes did not contain a Rare Monster with an Abyss modifier at the end of the area.[/*]
    Temple Changes
    • The Offerings to the Queen Notable Temple Atlas Passive Skill no longer provides 50% chance Rare Vaal Beacon chests contain an additional random Temple Currency Item, or 25% chance Vaal Beacon Unique Monsters drop an additional random Temple Currency. Instead, it now provides a Rare or Unique Monster in the Area is Corrupted when Vaal Beacons are activated. This change is to ensure the Temple is the source of Temple Currency, while providing a new mechanism for players to interact with Monsters outside of the Temple.[/*]
    • Reduced the frequency of Atziri's Temple Biome Restricted Rooms enabled by the Secrets of the Ancients Notable Temple Atlas Passive Skill. This combined with the Royal Prerogative Notable now always results in a net positive number of Restricted Room uses.[/*]
    General Changes and Improvements
    • Build Planner files can now contain a "link" field, which will present a button for users to click on the build description info. Currently only a subset of domains are whitelisted to appear in the client.[/*]

    • Fixed a bug where using Olroth's, Uhtred's, Vorana's, or Medved's Boons in 10 slot Runic Inscriptions could hide the incorrect option from future 10 slot Runic Inscriptions, allowing you to choose the same Boon twice, which caused the selected option failing to drop the second time.[/*]

    • Fixed a bug where sources that granted a random Shrine Buff were almost always granting Greed Shrines.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug with Sorcery Ward where if enough defences contributed to the value of the barrier it could become negative and amplify hit damage, this value now cannot exceed 32,000. We will be reviewing Sorcery Ward in a future patch.[/*]
    • Fixed a bug where "Using a Mana Flask grants Guard equal to 100% of the Flask's Recovery amount for 4 seconds" Modifier found on the Glowswarm Unique Ring did not calculate correctly if the value was not 100%, which is possible when found on the Loreweave Unique Body Armour.[/*]

    What We Are Working On

The opening weekend of Path of Exile 2: Return of the Ancients is finished, so it's time to take stock and talk about what we are working on, and what still needs to be improved.

The main issues that we were focusing on over the weekend were a significant number of progression blocking bugs in endgame quests. If you run into these, it effectively ends your progress, so they are rated as incredibly critical.

Almost all the progression blockers we know about have now been fixed, but sometimes it's not incredibly clear in the hotfix notes, so if you did get stuck, we would encourage you to try again. In some cases the fixes might require you to rerun some content.

We are also working through the list of the most common crashes that players experience. We have made a pretty good headway here already, but there are still more fixes to make.

In addition to these simple bug fixes though, there are a few other things we are looking to address over the next week.

    General Endgame

    • We are adding a large number of new atlas tree nodes which add more content to specific biomes. Once we add them, the points for these nodes will be added to existing maps, so you will get them automatically if you have already completed those maps.
    • There is currently a bug where you can't independently map from two different hideouts while in a party.
    • The atlas will remember where it was opened to if you reopen it in the same area.
    • Some players experience a black screen during quest events that open the atlas. We are investigating the cause of this.

    Ritual

    • When doing the Rite of the Nameless you can currently change your mind about which maps you picked. This allows you to potentially see more mods than if you didn't do that. This isn't as bad as it first appears because all the mods that you can see are prerolled, and it only selects in that set, but technically it's advantageous to do this. We will be changing the system to effectively lock in each choice.
    • It's currently possible to get 100% ritual reroll cost reduction. This mechanic is still limited by the number of rerolls you can do per area, but it's possible through various mechanics to legitimately increase this to fairly high values. We will be capping this stat to 90% for safety.
    • We are turning off the knockback on the Blood Waves ritual mechanic.
    • The Mysterious Rites node needs a buff to its rewards.

    Delirium

    • Currently it's possible to fail a Delirium by moving forward too quickly, especially if the fog is paused by doing another league mechanic. We will make this no longer possible.

    Breach

    • Breach hive colony monsters are getting stuck and not pathing sometimes. This often results in the combat of these encounters being very underwhelming.
    • The Tear Open The Rift notable will be made multi choice and have another bonus added as it's not always good for all players.
    • Instead of replacing the Rare monsters in Stabilised Breaches, Vruun will now spawn after you have defeated them. This means that getting Vruun will not compromise your investment into rare monsters.

    Runes of Aldur

    • We are turning off the knockback on the Tidal Waves runeshape mechanic.
    • The Pinnacle boss uniques that are crafted from Ore are currently not set to the correct item level. This means that the skills are lower level than was intended.

    Character Balance and Fixes

    • Some extra quality stats on gems that came from the Gemling Legionnaire were missing descriptions, or had incorrect descriptions. These are getting fixed.
    • We are adding some new Elemental Damage Clusters to the passive tree near Jewel slots to make elemental conversion jewels more useful.
    • We are changing Heavy Stun state to be saved when logging out, preventing abuse where you log out when you are stunned, or near to being stunned.
    • We will be adding a new rare Lineage support to Atziri which will allow you to reserve Life instead of Spirit on reservation gems.

    Other General Fixes

    • Using Click to Move on skills with the "Always Attack Without Moving" option turned on while also holding down the button to move causes some strange behavior where the character stutters or moves when you didn't expect.
    • Strongbox keywords shouldn't be clickable unless you are holding Alt to prevent misclicks.
    • The MTX shop is not currently showing "Already Owned" on some stash tabs.
    • Controller Only: We will be adding Magic/Rare/Boss weighting back into the targeting system and making this a preference that can be modified.
    • We are looking into some other reported targeting issues on Keyboard/Mouse where skills are not going where you intend them to.
    • Fix to missing drops on Pinnacle bosses when respawning in some cases.

    Campaign Improvements

    • While we did go a long way to making the campaign smoother, we have some other things that we plan to do over the next week.
    • Farrow will reveal the location of his quest objectives when talking to him in campaign areas.
    • Singing Caverns: We will make the mechanic of listening to which direction the siren is singing from more obvious so you can find her more easily.
    • Journey's End: We will add a portal from the boss back to the NPC to make it more obvious that you need to continue the quest.
    • Machinarium: We will make it so that if you checkpoint back to the start, you no longer have to wait for power to be slowly restored.
    • Halls of the Dead: We will make the location of the objects that give you permanent character boosts more obvious.
    • Azak Bog: Completing the fire ritual in the center of the zone will point you in the direction of the boss.
    • The Shark Fin quest currently has a confusing state where you had to do a bit of optional dialogue in order to get the option to turn in it.

    Controller Trade Improvements

    • Added a button to swap the currency pair while editing a trade.
    • Added a button to copy one of your active trades so that you can easily sell more of those items.
    • Added a button to open Sale History.
    • Added text search back to the top level of the trade UI.
    • Adjusted text sizes in some elements.

Of course, these are not the only changes we are planning, just a set of the initial ones that we believe we should be able to get out in the next week.

Inside the monastery of the Keepers of the Flames stands the Genesis Tree, a powerful weapon in the war against the Hiveborn. Stolen from the enemy and gifted to the Keepers by the Dreamer himself, the Tree allowed Ailith to create a breachstone capable of piercing Hiveborn territory. But without Hiveblood, the Tree has begun to wither.

Gather enough Hiveblood to curate and open new paths for experimentation, specialization, and discovery. Check out the video below to see what sort of combinations you’ll be able to make!
