Overview

This build turns the Druid’s Oracle ascendancy into a five-totem Spell Totem factory, with Grim Pillars as the payload. The Oracle’s Ancestral Bond doubles the totem limit and removes the charge requirement for placing totems, so instead of juggling power or endurance charges you simply whip out totems on the move. Each totem casts Grim Pillars — a new Kalguuran skill learned from the monolith found in every region — summoning eight ice crystals that are shattered for huge explosion damage.

The shattering is handled by a small package of area skills (Thunderstorm, Thrashing Vines, Entangle) all running the Biting Frost support, which consumes the freeze on the pillars for 40% more damage. The result is a smooth, high-speed mapper that drops totems while walking, covers the screen in crystals, and erupts everything around it. The whole identity hinges on stacking Spirit — the more Spirit you have, the more totems and reservation-heavy buffs (Arch Mage, Mana Tempest) you can run on top.

Because damage scales with the Grim Pillars gem level (fed cheap Theurgic Flux) rather than the trigger skills, the leveling skills can sit at minimum level to stay cheap, while the real DPS lives in the totems.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Cast-while-moving totem placement plus high placement speed makes for genuine zoom-through-T15/T16 mapping
  • A five-totem limit means you rarely have to worry about overplacing or refreshing totems
  • Strong single-target: stacking all five totems plus Mana Tempest melts pinnacle bosses
  • Convalescence gives an on-demand energy-shield recharge that bails you out of dangerous moments
  • Inevitable critical hits via the Oracle’s Forced Outcome node remove the need to cap crit chance

Cons

  • Heavily Spirit-gated — the build wants Spirit on chest, amulet, sceptre, boots, belt and runes, so it is not a fresh-league starter
  • Several best-in-slot upgrades (Moró Invictus chest, Verona Siege, Rakiata’s Flow) run into many divine orbs
  • Mana management around Mana Tempest and Arch Mage takes attention — you must step out and re-activate as mana drains
  • Screen can get noisy with 50 pillars per cast across five totems

Key Skills

  • Grim Pillars (in Spell Totem) — the core damage; summons ice crystals that are shattered for the bulk of your DPS
  • Biting Frost support — lets Thunderstorm / Thrashing Vines / Entangle consume the pillars’ freeze for 40% more damage
  • Entangle / Thrashing Vines / Thunderstorm — ground-covering trigger skills that detonate the pillars; kept at low gem level since their own damage barely matters
  • Mana Tempest — grants a large chunk of extra lightning damage to empowered spells; the build’s biggest damage button
  • Arch Mage + Convalescence — Arch Mage adds extra lightning damage scaling off maximum mana; Convalescence is the panic-button energy-shield recharge

Gear & Anointments

The priority is Spirit everywhere, then maximum mana on every slot to feed Arch Mage and Mana Tempest. Key targets: a high-Spirit sceptre with “allies in your presence have increased damage and cast speed” (both apply to totems), a Spirit chest — ideally Moró Invictus for per-socket Spirit — and the Darkness and Throne belt, whose socketed-augment bonus multiplies Spirit from the Rune of Blossom. Efficient Inscriptions (Greed / Paranoia / Isolation oils) on the amulet drops totem reservation to 63 Spirit, which is effectively mandatory to reach five totems. Wands want plus-to-cold-spell-skills (cheaper than all-spell-skills, and keeps trigger costs down). Keep Grim Pillars leveled with Theurgic Flux from the currency exchange.

Endgame Notes

The build clears all pinnacle content — the creator showcases expedition pinnacle and other bosses dying to a full five-totem dump plus Mana Tempest. Pinnacle upgrades like Verona Siege (isolated-target damage) and Rakiata’s Flow (inverse elemental resistance) push single-target further but cost 100+ divines, so they are optional. Defensively the build leans on energy shield with Convalescence; if you over-invest in ES you can swap to Chaos Inoculation, but then you must drop the Heavy Buffer node.
