Overview

This is the budget, league-starter version of the Amazon Ice Strike build for the Runes of Aldur 0.5 league, recorded after a smooth start to under 10 divines of total investment. It demonstrates how cheaply the archetype comes online: the campaign is cleared with Glacial Cascade and Frozen Legion in around seven hours, those same skills carry early maps, and the character transitions into Ice Strike with Shattering Palm at roughly level 70.

The core trick is the same as the endgame version but reached on a shoestring — Revery is cheap enough to slot in as soon as you hit your third ascendancy, giving near-infinite life and mana sustain via Asenath’s Gentle Touch Brew. Stalking Panther doubles evasion on gloves, helm, and boots for a tanky shell, while damage-taken-from-mana-before-life pads the effective pool. The standout is the weapon: a cheap accuracy quarterstaff with Penetrate behaves like an 800-DPS weapon because almost nobody else buys accuracy bases.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Genuinely cheap league starter — pinnacle Atlas progression done on under 10 divines
  • Easy, fast campaign (about seven hours) with Glacial Cascade and Frozen Legion
  • Near-infinite life and mana sustain once Revery is equipped
  • Accuracy + Penetrate quarterstaff is dirt cheap yet hits like a far pricier weapon
  • Comfortable no-flask-pressing playstyle thanks to the constant flask application

Cons

  • Single target is only decent on a budget — real boss DPS needs Rakiyata’s and Garukhan’s later
  • Stalking Panther’s full value wants Starkonja’s Head Panther, an extra cost
  • Melee range keeps you exposed on harder pinnacle fights
  • Some passive rerouting required when you eventually buy the big damage gems

Key Skills

  • Glacial Cascade / Frozen Legion — campaign and early-map leveling skills
  • Ice Strike — the cold single-target attack you swap into around level 70
  • Shattering Palm — main clearing skill, sets up the Ice Strike pop
  • Tempest Bell — extra single-target burst on bosses
  • Right of Restoration (Revery) — the cheap sustain-and-defence field that anchors the build

Gear & Anointments

The three budget uniques are Revery (one of the cheapest power spikes available, bought as soon as you hit maps), Atziri’s Step (about one divine), and Yoke of Suffering (stacks ailment damage, so spread a little of every element). The weapon is a self-crafted accuracy quarterstaff: bought with plus-skill and accuracy, hit with a greater essence of haste and a greater exalt, finished with a preserved jawbone for flat lightning. Anointment is Serrated Edges. Stone, silver, and thawing charms round it out.

Endgame Notes

With Revery equipped early the build skips the usual energy-shield hybrid leveling phase entirely. On budget it already handles pinnacle bosses in the Atlas; the saving target afterward is Rakiyata’s Flow and Garukhan’s Resolve, which roughly double damage, plus Headhunter or an explode belt for juiced mapping.
