Auto-Telestomp Chronomancer Build Guide [0.5] - Path of exile 2

Overview

This Chronomancer leans on Frostbolt as its core spell, but the real engine sits in the layers wrapped around it. A Snake Pit pearl ring in the left slot forks the projectiles and strips their ability to pierce, so each bolt explodes after forking off a target — and the explosion, not the initial hit, is where the bulk of the damage lands. Stack enough projectiles and those explosions tile across the screen for fast clears.

The build then folds in the new Trickster’s Shard support, which spawns mirror-fragments of the caster that mimic spells, multiplying the projectile count. With everything scaled fully into critical strike, that flood of casts keeps a Cast on Critical setup permanently fed. Inside that trigger sit Lightning Warp and Living Bomb: when an enemy is inside cull range the build teleports on top of them and executes (the “auto-telestomp” of the title); when they are not, it plants a Living Bomb seed that ticks them down until they are cullable. The Cast on Critical is therefore never idle.

Defensively it is built around energy shield and the Chronomancer’s time mechanics. Phased Form delays incoming damage by a few seconds, and Temporal Rift’s new cleanse rewinds and wipes that pending damage — a roughly 30% less damage from everything layer that the creator credits with surviving boss one-shots.

The belt wants “during any flask effect” prefixes paired with a constantly-applied mana flask. Jewels of note are a Megalomaniac diamond and a Heart of the Well diamond (cold → fire/lightning conversion plus mana-on-kill). Endgame Notes

The creator runs this as an all-content endgame build: explosions handle mapping, while Frost Bomb plus Elemental Weakness let it delete bosses as if they had no resistances. Rakiata’s Dance is mentioned as a damage-and-resistance-ignore upgrade but is deliberately excluded to keep the build affordable — adding it pushes the cost toward 150 divines.
