Overview
This build turns the Gemling Legionnaire’s gem-quality bonuses into a self-sustaining Cast-on-Crit comet machine that showers the screen in Comets while barely touching a button. The core loop is Spark critting into Cast on Crit to spawn Frost Walls and Comets, while Cast on Elemental Ailment reprocs the whole chain every time a frozen enemy is generated — producing a near-infinite cascade of Comets and Frost Wall explosions.
What makes it stand out is how it solves the classic CoC-comet damage and mana problems without Archmage or heavy mana-stacking. The Gemling’s “gem quality grants an extra effect” node hands Spark eight extra projectiles and unlocks a Frost Wall built around the Vergus support: destroying an ice crystal grants extra cold damage scaled off the crystal’s life. With a Frost Wall carrying hundreds of thousands of ice-crystal life, that translates to well over 200% of damage gained as extra cold — more than Archmage would ever give — for the cost of a single support gem.
The creator stresses this was thrown together with cheap, half-finished gear (level-19 gems, junk rings) and still annihilates fully-juiced T15 Delirium maps at 200% Delirium, which is why it is pitched as an insanely strong and inexpensive second character.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Enormous damage from a single support (Vergus) instead of expensive Archmage/mana-stacking
- Genuinely cheap to get online — clears juiced T15 Delirium on throwaway gear
- Effectively a one-button playstyle once Cast on Crit automates Frost Wall and Comets
- Massive mana and life regen from Gemling intelligence nodes makes mana a non-issue
- Gemstudded gem-parity bonus grants crit immunity, reduced skill cost, and less move-speed penalty on Spark
Cons
- Not a league starter — leans on Adorini’s Ego and other uniques to enable the loop
- Power-charge generation uses a weapon-swap (Frost Bomb + infusion consume) routine that takes getting used to
- Defenses are underdeveloped in the showcase (largely Mind over Matter + mana stacking)
- Screen becomes extremely noisy with the comet/frost-wall spam
Key Skills
- Spark — primary crit engine; Gemling quality adds eight extra projectiles to fuel Cast on Crit
- Frost Wall — ice crystals feed the Vergus support for huge gained-as-extra cold damage
- Cast on Crit — automates Frost Wall and Comet casting for the one-button loop
- Cast on Elemental Ailment — reprocs Comets off freezes, creating the self-sustaining cascade
- Frost Bomb / Firestorm (weapon swap) — builds power charges for the Pinnacle of Power buff
Gear & Anointments
The centerpiece is Adorini’s Ego, whose Pinnacle of Power buff grants roughly 15% more damage per power charge consumed (about 110% at eight charges) and makes all elemental damage contribute to ailment buildup — critical for keeping the Cast on Elemental Ailment loop firing. A cheap scepter (around one Divine) is used mainly for its Spirit to run the trigger gems. Diala’s Desire is an optional high-end luxury that further scales Frost Wall quality and levels. Kiral’s Gaze rune is used so life-regen bonuses also apply to mana regen. Specific rare-item mods to be confirmed against the source video.
Endgame Notes
The showcase is built around fully-juiced T15 Delirium mapping at 200% Delirium, and the creator notes damage scales dramatically further with higher Frost Wall levels (targeting ~39 for roughly 50% more crystal life) and higher-level spell gems, none of which the demo character had invested in yet.
