Overview
This is a speed-obsessed crossbow Gemling Legionnaire built around armour piercing rounds and the Fresh Clip reload mechanic, tuned specifically to be the fastest character the creator has ever played in Path of Exile 2. Where an earlier version sat at a sluggish 63% movement speed, this update pushes the character past 100% movement speed in combat — and as high as 142% with all buffs rolling — by rebuilding the passive routing around Vaal Pact and layering on movement-speed uniques.
The damage identity is the machine-gun feel: rapid reloads stack ‘more damage’ through Fresh Clip, so reloading twice inside the eight-second window is roughly 54% more damage and three times is over 80%. Crucially, the speed retune costs almost nothing offensively — the creator measured the damage loss from the changes at under half a percent — so the build keeps melting bosses in seconds while clearing at a blur.
It is unapologetically a high-investment endgame build (a Mageblood is the single most expensive item in it), but it is also presented as robust rather than gimmicky: no one-shot interactions, no fragile combos. The creator even argues it should be hard to nerf because it leans on a core skill rather than an exploit.
