Overview
This is a Frostbolt Cast-on-Critical Sorceress built around raining Comets across the screen while staying surprisingly tanky for a caster. Frostbolt projectiles crit consistently, Cast on Critical converts that crit stream into a downpour of Comets, and Trickster Shard clones scatter additional Frostbolts so the whole arena is being hit, frozen, and crit at once. It is a do-everything endgame setup that clears maps and deletes bosses with the same core loop.
The defining choice is the Verashta ascendancy. Rather than the more common Chronomancer or Stormweaver, this build leans on Verashta’s energy-shield recharge bonuses, the Sacred Rituals node that pushes 60% of current energy shield into armour (yielding ~62% physical mitigation for free), Instruments of Power to equip a Focus alongside a two-handed staff, and Ley Lines, which massively enlarges Time-Lost jewel radii for huge passive-tree efficiency.
It is a heavily invested endgame build — the creator has roughly 1,000 divines in it and runs 200% Delirium comfortably. A much cheaper version works as long as you secure the one non-negotiable item, the Snake Pit ring, then scale up from there.

Cons
- Hard-gated by the Snake Pit ring — the build does not function without it
- Mana-hungry; requires layering Mana Remnants, Clarity, cost efficiency and regen to sustain
- Crit-dependent (~88% crit chance) so it needs significant gear investment to come online
- Trigger-chain + curse + aura management makes it fairly complex to pilot well

Gear & Anointments
Weapon archetype is a two-handed staff (for Sigil of Power) paired with a Focus, enabled by the Instruments of Power ascendancy node. The mandatory unique is the Snake Pit ring — without it Frostbolt does not perform its role. Time-Lost jewels are central and made far stronger by Verashta’s Ley Lines; the creator runs an expensive From Nothing jewel on the Conduit node but recommends starting with a cheaper Eldritch Battery jewel and building up. The Idol of Eshta rune supplies cost efficiency for mana sustain. Remaining jewels are Sapphires rolled with energy shield, crit, crit spell damage, and ES recharge. Endgame Notes
The build is designed for full endgame coverage — the creator runs every piece of content including 200% Delirium. Sigil of Power (Magnified Area, Prolong Duration, Efficiency, Cooldown Recovery) is reserved for bosses and tough rares, where Frost Wall detonations provide the burst. Convalescence with Ultra Constellation gives three recharge charges as an “oh no” defensive layer.
