Overview
Earthshatter Titan is a heavy two-handed mace build that trades range for weight. The loop is deliberately simple: leap into a pack, build rage, break armour, and slam. Physical scaling, rage generation, and armour break all reinforce each other, and Titan durability lets you stay in melee range long enough for that pressure to pay off.
Earthshatter is the workhorse for both clear and general damage, supported by Rapid Attacks, Branching Fissures, and Aftershock to widen the fissure coverage and add follow-up impacts. Boneshatter fills the close-range and tougher-target role, with Rage support keeping the aggressive tempo fed. Two heralds handle the tail end of clear, adding fire and cold layers on top of the physical core.
The creator positions this as a build for players who want melee to feel like melee — no fragile ranged caster gameplay, just frontline combat with visible impact behind every hit.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Simple, reliable play loop that works early and gets smoother as attack speed and rage uptime come online
- Strong single-target pressure from Boneshatter, Berserk, and armour break stacking
- Titan durability plus War Banner makes long fights and rare packs manageable
- Scales very well with weapon upgrades, physical damage, and support gem levels — the creator rates scaling his highest axis
- Herald of Ash and Herald of Ice add clear without needing a separate clear skill
Cons
- Positioning-dependent — you are in melee range, and bad movement still gets punished
- Wants attack speed, rage uptime, weapon upgrades, and sustain before it feels finished
- The creator admits it is not the fastest screen-wide mapper, even though clear is consistent
- Timing matters on bosses; you cannot simply stand and slam through heavy attacks
Key Skills
- Earthshatter — main slam; Branching Fissures widens coverage and Aftershock adds follow-up impact
- Boneshatter — close-range pressure and the answer to rares and elites, supported by Rage and Knockback
- War Banner — combat presence and sustain in longer fights, with Prolonged Duration and Expanse
- Berserk — the rage payoff, saved for safe burst windows
- Harbinger of Madness — layers bleed and armour break onto the physical core
Gear & Anointments
Prioritise physical damage, mace and slam damage, attack speed, rage generation, and armour break, then life, resistances, and sustain. Mana Remnants and Discipline are called out as the pieces that make the build feel stable rather than jerky during long fights. Weapon upgrades are the single biggest damage lever. No specific uniques are named in the video, so item choices should be confirmed against the creator’s written guide.
Endgame Notes
The creator rates scaling five out of five — physical damage, mace upgrades, attack speed, rage, armour break, and better defensive gear all continue to pay off well past the point where the build is already comfortable.
