Overview
Navira’s Fracturing Disciple of Varashta is presented here as a league starter first and foremost, and the evidence offered is a day-one push to Tier 15 maps on essentially no budget. The creator reached endgame at level 84 while still wearing campaign drops — an Act 3 helmet, Act 4 gloves, an unremarkable chest — which is the clearest signal of how much of the build’s power sits in the ascendancy rather than in gear.
Mechanically this reads as a spellcaster with minion support rather than a minion build proper. The character freezes packs, shatters them, and stays safe largely because frozen enemies never get to act. Frost Nexus and Encroaching Ground are the pieces that make Navira’s Fracturing worth committing to; before that combination comes online, the build simply doesn’t need it.
The honest framing matters here. Clear speed is described as good but not top-tier, and damage scaling gets harder to push deep into late endgame. What it buys instead is a start that is smooth from Act 2 onward with almost no currency spent, which is exactly the trade most players want in the first days of a league.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Genuinely zero-budget viable — Tier 15 maps reached on leftover campaign gear
- Smooth from the moment the second ascendancy lands in Act 2, with no awkward power valley
- Freeze lockdown doubles as the primary defensive layer, covering for thin life and energy shield
- Simple campaign rotation: two skills carry the entire acts sequence
- Flexible on expensive pieces — Frost Bomb substitutes cleanly for the pricey automation unique
Cons
- Survivability stats are genuinely thin early (roughly 1.4k life and 2.8k energy shield at level 84), and stray hits do land
- Damage scaling tapers in deep endgame; further pushing needs a respec and real investment
- The Navira’s Fracturing payoff is gated behind the fourth skill slot — before that it is inefficient
- Belt and rings need minion stats the starting gear won’t have, so a Breach detour is effectively mandatory
Key Skills
- Navira’s Fracturing — the endgame damage core, only worth using once Frost Nexus and Encroaching Ground are both available
- Kelari’s Brutality — the campaign clear skill, paired with Explosive Demise until the ascendancy lands
- Kelari’s Deception — the campaign boss deleter; spam it once Archon of Undeath is taken
- Frost Bomb — the budget stand-in for the expensive automation setup, dropped ahead of movement to pick up infusions
- Ice Nova — the empowered infusion payoff in mapping
Gear & Anointments
The striking thing about the gearing plan is how little there is of it. Campaign rares carried the character to Tier 14, and the only two real purchases were a staff for roughly one divine and an amulet at around 30 exalts. Powered by Verisium is the one genuinely expensive piece and is explicitly optional — Frost Bomb replaces it without breaking the build.
- Spirit — fill it with as many distinct persistent minions as possible, including the wolf; spectres and tame beast are optional rather than required
- Belt and rings — the weakest slots on a fresh character; Breach womb gifts are the intended source of minion-statted replacements
- Long-term direction — a respec toward Chaos Inoculation and heavier energy shield stacking once currency allows
Ascendancy priority is Archon of Undeath first, then the cooldown nodes to keep skills cycling. Anointment specifics should be confirmed against the source video.
Endgame Notes
The creator’s day-one Atlas route went partly into Expedition to capitalise on a lucky Powered by Verisium drop, then admitted map sustain suffered for it — a useful warning. The stated plan is to fill out the main Atlas tree and essences first, then pivot to Breach for minion-statted jewellery. Deaths at Tier 15 were frequent enough to be worth noting; this build reaches endgame cheaply but does not arrive tanky.
