Overview
This is a patch update to NickZiri’s His Scattering Calamity Blood Mage, a Mind Over Matter mana-stacker built around the skill granted by The Unborn Lich staff. The core loop is unchanged: tap the staff skill to fire a machine-gun stream of lightning projectiles, keep every spell paid with life through Blood Mage leech, and let a huge mana pool act as the real health bar. By the time of the update the creator had pushed the character to level 94 and cleared a T15 on roughly two to three divines of gear.
The headline change is clear speed. The cast-on-crit package now runs Arc and Snap instead of Comet, supported by Dominus’ Grasp and a lightning-infusion setup. Snap procs constantly, the lightning infusions make Arc hit far harder and push shock magnitude up, and Dominus’ Grasp doubles the chain count, so Arc now bounces off-screen and deletes packs the main skill misses. The trade-off is weaker single target; the creator suggests swapping Comet and a damage support back in for bossing.
The other change is groundwork for a charge-generation upgrade. With extra spirit from a spirit body armour, amulet and boots, the plan is an amulet anointed with Thaumaturgic Generator, generating power and frenzy charges based on socketed skill attributes and feeding Charge Regulation for more crit chance and skill speed.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Much faster clear than the first version, thanks to the Arc chain setup
- Very tanky: Mind Over Matter plus a large mana pool and life leech
- Crit chance sits at 100% with the right amulet enchant, so cast-on-crit fires reliably
- Easy to swap between a mapping loadout and a single-target loadout
Cons
- The Arc and Snap setup is weaker on bosses than the Comet version
- The Thaumaturgic Generator anoint is expensive, and Charge Regulation needs dexterity planning
- Relies on The Unborn Lich staff, which has to be bought or unveiled
Key Skills
- His Scattering Calamity — main tap-to-fire lightning projectile skill from The Unborn Lich
- Arc + Snap (cast on crit) — new clear engine with doubled chains and lightning infusions
- Feast of Flesh — corpse consume for burst life and mana recovery
- Life Remnants / Mana Remnants — sustain from the Blood Mage kit
- Elemental Weakness — curse for resistance reduction
Gear & Anointments
The staff is the same as the original guide. Spirit now comes from a spirit-rolled body armour, a 50-spirit amulet and a spirit suffix on boots, plus reservation efficiency on the helmet, replacing the old ring solution. Rings are mana rings with resistances. For the amulet, the planned anoint is Thaumaturgic Generator; cheaper options are an amulet anointed for Archmage or cast-on-crit. Charge Regulation needs around 70–75 dexterity, so pick up dexterity on rings or tree nodes. A Controlled Metamorphosis jewel is used to reach Mind Over Matter with fewer points.
Endgame Notes
The creator runs T15 maps comfortably on modest gear and plans to push further once the charge-generation amulet is crafted. For bosses, put Comet back into the cast-on-crit setup with a damage support in place of Snap and Dominus’ Grasp.
