Overview
This is the full endgame configuration of the Amazon Ice Strike quarterstaff build for patch 0.5, refined over three leagues of play. Ice Strike is the cold single-target engine while Shattering Palm handles clear, the two linked by a debuff-then-pop rhythm: Shattering Palm marks packs, Ice Strike detonates them. The headline change this patch is the defensive layer — a Revery body armour paired with Asenath’s Gentle Touch Brew gives roughly 1,000 life and mana recovered per second, while Stalking Panther doubles evasion from gloves, helm, and boots without the usual downside.
The result is a character that keeps the build’s traditionally excellent clear and single target while becoming genuinely tanky: high evasion, high deflection, a large combined pool, and damage-taken-from-mana-before-life on top. The creator runs it at level 94 with about 150 divines invested, though most of that is optional min-maxing.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Excellent clear and strong single target — comfortable across all content
- Huge sustain (about 1,000 life and mana per second) from the Revery + Asenath’s Brew engine
- Very high evasion and deflection thanks to Stalking Panther’s doubled evasion
- Permanent flask uptime unlocks several flask-effect passive nodes for free
- Plenty of upgrade headroom (Rakiyata’s, Garukhan’s, Mageblood, Headhunter)
Cons
- Reaching the full defensive shell needs specific uniques (Revery, Atziri’s Step, Yoke of Suffering)
- Top-end damage gems (Garukhan’s Resolve, Rakiyata’s Flow) are very expensive
- Melee range keeps you in danger on the hardest delirium and pinnacle content
- Many support and aura links to assemble before it feels complete
Key Skills
- Ice Strike — primary cold single-target attack; supported by Concentrated Area, Elemental Armament, Close Combat, Rapid Attacks
- Shattering Palm — main clearing skill, applies the debuff Ice Strike pops
- Tempest Bell — additional burst, dropped with Ancestral Call for multiple bells on packs
- Herald of Ice — large part of the clear via shatter explosions
- Right of Restoration (Revery) — the sustain-and-defence field that powers the whole shell
Gear & Anointments
Three core uniques anchor the build: Revery (body armour, ideally three-socketed for greater body runes), Atziri’s Step (boots, big deflection), and Yoke of Suffering (amulet, scaling damage by stacking multiple ailments — so you deal a little of every element). The quarterstaff wants high physical and cold flat damage; an accuracy stick with Penetrate is the cheap early alternative. The amulet anoint is Serrated Edges, with Reaching Strike noted as a quality-of-life option. Jewels favour life recovery from flasks, crit, and a Time-Lost Ruby for rage on hit.
Endgame Notes
Aylith’s Chimes generate power charges (Combat Frenzy with Resonance is the cheaper alternative). For pushing further, Garukhan’s Resolve is roughly 50% more damage, and Mageblood or Headhunter are the natural luxury upgrades. The creator notes the build already clears everything it needs to, so further investment is mostly for heavily juiced or high-delirium mapping.
