Overview
This is the high-end revision of a Spirit Walker companion zoo, rebuilt around reaching 100% critical hit chance from gear rather than from a lucky capture roll. The creator’s previous league version leaned on a tamed beast that rolled the extra-critical modifier; this one gets to roughly 300% increased critical chance out of items and passives instead, which frees the capture to roll two damage modifiers. The result is a stronger character for noticeably less currency than the earlier version cost.
The headline numbers at the time of recording are around 2 million damage per second measured in town, 1.28 attacks per second, a critical damage bonus over 500%, and 100% critical hit chance with no extra-critical affix in the build at all. Everything else — the wolf pack, the boar, the bear spirit, the skeletal cleric — is either an aura carrier or a survivability layer feeding the single damage companion.
Defensively the build routes damage through mana before life. Runic ward and energy shield absorb first, mana next, life last; since a companion build barely spends mana, that middle pool is effectively a second health bar.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Cheaper than the previous league’s equivalent setup while hitting higher damage
- 100% critical chance sourced from gear, so the tamed beast’s modifiers are free for pure damage
- Mana-before-life layering gives a large effective health pool the build does not otherwise use
- Curse immunity is reachable: 50% debuff reduction from a charm plus 50% from standing on sanctified ground
Cons
- High capital across almost every slot — mirrored rings, a corrupted unique sceptre, a top-tier flask belt
- Still gated on taming a beast with the right two damage modifiers; extra chaos is first choice, extra lightning second
- Idol slots must be filled in every non-weapon piece, which is awkward and expensive early
- The creator is still mid-upgrade on several slots and says so plainly, so the list is a snapshot not a finished target
Key Skills
- Tamed rare beast (a gecko in the creator’s setup) — the sole damage carrier, run with rapid attacks, coordination, frenzy infusion, rally and radiance
- Wolf Pack — amulet-granted, supported with rapid attacks, coordination, radiance, a blind source for survivability, and Romira’s Requital for recovery
- Wild Protector — the ascendancy bear spirit, kept for area damage and utility
- Boar companion — carried purely for its haste aura, with shock on all damage rolled as a bonus; overcharge socketed to push shock to 30%
- Skeletal cleric — one body, kept alive for the rally effect and to fire offerings before bosses
Gear & Anointments
The weapon is a unique sceptre, corrupted for two extra sockets. Beast damage and spirit are both good on it; the mark-damage line matters most. Body armour is a unique built for chaos resistance, since elemental resistance rolls on it are far pricier than chaos. The helmet takes high energy shield, a minion level roll, one resistance, and runes — and is explicitly left uncorrupted so the roll can be improved later.
Idols fill every remaining slot. Fox and rabbit idols are the mandatory two; the rest are filler to fill the socket count. Rings are crafted from a breach base with attack speed and critical accuracy, then duplicated with Kalandra’s mirror for 32% attack speed and 168% critical chance across the pair. Boots take movement speed plus whichever resistance is short; gloves take energy shield, attributes and fire resistance.
Resistances are deliberately spread one per slot across helmet, gloves and boots, and the creator points out that a resistance you bought cheap can be converted with a distilled emotion rather than paying the premium for the one you actually need.
For flasks, a mana flask that self-sustains is used because the build barely consumes mana. Charms cover bleed and sanctified ground.
Endgame Notes
All endgame content is on the table with this setup. The creator’s remaining build-out plan is a voice jewel with sockets opened, a faith-based support, and progressively upgraded jewels — the passive tree itself is simple and finished, with the character committed to jewel stacking.
