Overview
This is an unusual minion build. Acolyte of Chayula is not a minion ascendancy, but Into the Breach linked with Selfless Remnants turns into purple flames that give allies, including minions, stacking extra chaos damage. Since this class has less spirit than an Infernalist or Shaman, it runs a few strong tamed companions instead of a large army.
Damage comes from Ignite. Infernal Legion (or a similar support) with Wildfire turns a fast companion such as a Plague Harvester into a moving fire spreader. That burning scales with the minion’s maximum life. A second companion handles shock and absorbs hits, and a high-damage beast is swapped in for bosses. A Mirage Archer on dodge roll fires Twister from a spear that aggravates bleeding and ignite for more burst.
Defence comes from very high chaos resistance through Chayula’s Gift, shield block, and Mind over Matter with Eldritch Battery, backed by mana remnants. The guide recommends switching into the full version around level 80 with ~300 spirit and good beasts already captured.

Pros
- Minions do nearly everything; the character just stays in their presence
- Few active skills, so almost no mana drain
- Strong against hits and damage over time thanks to chaos resistance and block
- Companion modifiers can make individual beasts very powerful
Cons
- Low armour, so heavy physical hits hurt
- Gear-gated: needs specific captured beasts, ~300 spirit and several best-in-slot uniques
- Not a natural league starter; it starts as a skeleton build and transitions late
- Weapon swaps must be done carefully to avoid dropping buffs or minions

Gear & Anointments
The guide names Alpha’s Howl, a spear that aggravates bleeding, a lucky-block unique buckler and The Coming Calamity as best in slot. None is strictly required, but each is hard to replace. Use two sceptres with minion damage, +levels and minion life, an amulet with +3 minion skills, and Genesis Tree ring and belt mods for minions. Jewels only need companion life and damage. Use instant life and mana flasks.
