Overview
This Gemling Legionnaire turns Flicker Strike into an elemental one-button teleport that deletes bosses and chunks of a map at once. The whole engine revolves around Power Charges: Flicker Strike consumes them, and the Legionnaire’s gem-quality bonuses plus a body armour roll push the chance to not consume a charge close to 50%, so the strike chains far longer than it normally would.
Charges come from two sources — a passive charge generator that ticks one out every few seconds, and Whirling Assault with a charge-granting support, which doubles as the clear skill for dense content like Abyss. Mana problems are solved with a mana-leech roll on gear and a mana-sustain support on the charge-buff skill. The full version sits around 14 million DPS with a ~50k effective health pool, and a separate ~50 divine budget variant is shown for players who want the same playstyle at a fraction of the cost.
The creator is upfront that the build is inconsistent: you do not control where Flicker lands, so rogue exiles and objectives often require backtracking. It shines brightest in bossing and Expedition, and is fine in Breach and Ritual.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- One-shots bosses, including in large parties
- Very tanky on the full version — deaths are rare in 200% Delirium T16 maps
- Budget version (~50 divine) still handles fully modded T16 maps with a completed Atlas
- Excellent in Expedition since you cannot flicker away across the map
- Whirling Assault gives a reliable fallback clear for packs
Cons
- No control over flicker targets — frequent backtracking for objectives
- Can feel frustrating; the creator skips parts of maps rather than full-clearing
- Full version is very expensive (timeless jewels, high-end amulet and staff)
- Budget version is noticeably squishier (~20k EHP) and dies every few maps
Key Skills
- Flicker Strike — main skill; teleports between enemies consuming Power Charges
- Whirling Assault — generates charges and clears packs
- Herald (elemental) — the key AoE layer that explodes packs Flicker touches
- Blasphemy + Temporal Chains — large defensive curse aura on the full version
- Ghost Dance / charge-buff skill — defensive aura and the charge-sustain buff that keeps charges from dropping off
Gear & Anointments
The weapon is a staff stacked with flat elemental damage, crit chance, attack speed and attack skill levels. The creator recommends a Grand Regalia body armour for its hybrid defences, spirit and idol slots. Other priorities: an energy shield/crit helmet, rings with elemental damage to attacks and missing resistances, deflection boots, and gloves with crit damage and physical-leech-as-mana.
- Jewels include Split Personality (starting from the Ranger side of the tree is cheaper than Monk) and a Prism of Disbelief rolling +2 Flicker Strike
- Timeless jewels with crit damage and elemental damage are a large part of the full version’s cost
- Budget swap: disable Blasphemy, run a second herald, and use Rakiayta in Flicker Strike’s links in place of the expensive setup
- Exact support links and remaining uniques to be confirmed against the source video
Endgame Notes
The showcase runs are tier 16 fully modded, 200% Delirium maps. The recommended approach is to skip partial content and move quickly between maps rather than chase every objective, since flicker targeting makes full clears slow.
