Overview
This is a twink power-leveling route rather than an endgame build. It uses gear bought ahead of time and swapped in at set levels to get through the whole campaign in about three hours. The creator shows it on a Gemling Legionnaire, currently one of the most popular ascendancies, but the route is class-agnostic: Monk, Huntress, Ranger and Mercenary can follow the planner’s tree directly, and other classes use the Ranger or Mercenary version of the Split Personality setup.
The damage comes from Twister backed by Whirling Slash on a separate weapon set. Against normal packs, one Whirling Slash followed by a Twister is enough. Against tougher targets, stacking Whirling Slash three times before casting Twister deletes most campaign bosses before their health bar has fully appeared. Cold-themed uniques add chill, freeze buildup and shattering, and later items stack ailments to multiply damage further.
The core rule is simple: buy the levelling kit in advance, keep it in your inventory, equip each piece the moment you meet its level requirement, and don’t stop to loot random gear. The creator links a Mobalytics planner with every swap point.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Campaign clear in around three hours if you stay focused on quest objectives
- Works on almost any class, so it doubles as a reroll accelerator
- Very simple two-button rotation that one-shots normal monsters from the start
- Shattering chilled enemies gives smooth, satisfying clear
- The final weapon can be kept all the way to level 90 if desired
Cons
- Requires buying a specific list of levelling uniques before you start, so it is not a fresh-league starter
- Optimal play involves swapping boots and amulet between clearing (movement speed) and bossing (damage)
- The skill-gem and support setup must be prepared precisely (Whirling Slash must stay at level 1)
- Purely a levelling tool: the character still needs a real endgame build afterward
Key Skills
- Twister: main damage skill; level it up every time you can. Supports: Retreat, Projectile Acceleration, Frost Nexus, Pinpoint Critical, Deliberation
- Whirling Slash: builds stacks that empower Twister; keep it at gem level 1. Supports: Rapid Attacks III, Rage III, Punch Through, Knockback
- Herald of Ice: extra clear through shattering explosions
- Ice-Tip Arrow + Barrage: added at level 14 with the prepared supports
Gear & Anointments
Equip the prepared items at these levels:
- Start: Splinter of Loratta with a Lesser Lightning Rune
- Lv 5: Greymake helmet for extra stats and life in Act 1
- Lv 8: Surefooted Sigil amulet (+1 m dodge roll distance) for faster movement
- Lv 10: Chainsting, a weapon upgrade that also pins enemies for bossing
- Lv 11: Wanderlust boots (25% movement speed, slow immunity) and Grip of Winter gloves
- Lv 12: Polcirkeln ring for cold resistance and shatter-on-kill
- Lv 15: Rune of Prism in the Foxshade for resistances
- Lv 16: Skysliver on weapon set 1 for attack speed (Whirling Slash); the old weapon stays on set 2 with Twister and Ice-Tip Arrow. Wake of Destruction boots add lightning to Twister, so swap them in for bosses
- Lv 18: Yoke of Suffering amulet; enemies take more damage per ailment. Use it for bosses, or permanently if you don’t want to swap
- Lv 26: Tangletongue on weapon set 2, the final weapon; start taking the critical strike passives
- Lv 42 (optional): The Taming ring
Exact unique spellings and the full passive order are in the creator’s linked planner.
