Overview
This Gemling Legionnaire turns Mirage Archer into the main damage engine: every dodge roll drops a stationary mirage that fires Snipe, and with heavy cooldown and duration stacking the build keeps up to six archers firing at once. The Gemling’s quality bonuses lengthen Snipe’s perfect-timing window and add a large chunk of attack speed, so the mirages release almost every shot inside that window and the explosions land constantly without the player channelling anything.
It was built for the hardest juiced Expedition content and is at its best in stand-still arenas such as Expedition and Simulacrum, but it also maps far better than expected. A Talisman on weapon swap gives Pounce on a short cooldown and wolf-form sprinting, which makes moving between fights quick.
Defences are layered: roughly 30k armour and 31k evasion in the Mageblood version, part of the armour applying to elemental and chaos hits, high deflection, no extra damage from critical hits through Gem Studded, and Refutation up most of the time thanks to the same cooldown and duration stacking.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Essentially a one-button build: dodge roll spawns the archers, which do the work
- Excellent damage in stand-still content such as juiced Expedition and Simulacrum
- Very tanky: armour, evasion, deflection, crit immunity and near-permanent Refutation block
- Mapping is smooth thanks to low-cooldown Pounce and wolf-form movement speed
- Practically no mana problems
Cons
- The showcased setup is expensive (Mageblood/Headhunter, Time-Lost Emeralds, Megalomaniac, a crafted amulet)
- Needs careful balancing of cooldown recovery and skill effect duration
- Mirages occasionally miss the perfect-timing release for unclear reasons
- Can still be frozen in Grand Expeditions without a freeze charm

- Bow: high physical damage with flat lightning, crit chance, attack speed and levels to attack or projectile skills; extra-arrow runes
- Quiver: Kadiro’s Gambit for general content, a rare quiver for pinnacle bosses
- Helmet: Decree of Acuity, ideally with a Thaumaturgic Generator enchant for passive charge generation
- Body: Warrior Invictus with global defences and resistances per socket
- Boots: skill effect duration plus cooldown recovery via a chronomancy rune craft
- Belt: Mageblood (Quicksilver, Granite, Jade) for general play, swapped to Headhunter for Grand Expeditions
- Jewels: Time-Lost Emeralds covering cooldown and crit notables, a From Nothing diamond for Hollow Palm Technique, Prism of Belief (+levels to Snipe), Megalomaniac and Heart of the Well
- Anoint: Paragon for extra gem quality
Endgame Notes
The build is tuned for the top of Expedition. Headhunter can reach over 60 stacks in Grand Expeditions, adding large amounts of damage and defence, while Mageblood is enough for everything else. A cheaper version is possible for players who don’t plan to run the hardest Expedition content.
