Overview

This build turns the Witch into a commander rather than a caster, fielding a full skeletal army — clerics, frost and storm mages, reavers, snipers, warriors — alongside two specters and an infernal hound. Rather than pushing damage onto the player, every point of investment goes into making the minions stronger and keeping the summoner alive behind a deep energy-shield buffer. The result is a low-effort playstyle: walk forward, keep your offering and curse up, and let the screen dissolve under minion fire.

In 0.5 the archetype is especially strong because spirit, energy shield, and specter scaling all stack cleanly through the Infernalist ascendancy. The main damage comes from the Specter Power Zealot, supported by the Master-scaled skeleton army for extra bodies, projectiles, and offering uptime. It stays cheap to start, comfortably fits high rarity (150%+), and clears maps and bosses without demanding perfect gear.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Very simple, low-APM gameplay — the army does the fighting
  • Strong single-target from Specter Power/Chaos Zealots plus a Sigil of Power boss window
  • Comfortable, safe mapping behind a large energy-shield pool
  • Fits 150%+ rarity while still clearing smoothly
  • Cheap to start; scales through incremental upgrades

Cons

  • Many skill gems and minion types to set up and maintain
  • Leans on specters (Power Zealot) and a few key uniques to come online
  • Curse handling changes once Rakiyata’s Flow is socketed — easy to misplay
  • Minion pathing and positioning can feel awkward on some layouts

Key Skills

  • Specter Power Zealot — main damage and projectile clear (Pierce, Projectile Acceleration)
  • Specter Chaos Zealot — secondary damage specter (Overcharge, Feeding Frenzy)
  • Pain Offering — core buff to keep active as often as possible
  • Skeleton army (mages, snipers, reavers, warriors, clerics) — Master-scaled bodies for pressure and support
  • Sigil of Power (Chiming Staff swap) — dedicated boss-damage window

Gear & Anointments

The main hand is a rattling specter/sceptre with increased spirit, increased minion damage, +levels of minion skills and minion cast speed, paired with an energy-shield focus; a Chiming Staff on weapon set two enables the Sigil of Power boss setup. Prioritize spirit, energy shield, minion levels, resistances and attributes across all gear. Rakiyata’s Flow enables the Despair curse swap, and the summon-boosting unique boots are best in slot. Darkness Enthroned (treated as a helmet) and higher-end jewels such as Prism of the Believe or Heart of the Veil are upgrades, not requirements. Cap elemental resistances first, then stack chaos resistance. Specific item names should be confirmed against the source video.

Endgame Notes

Post-campaign, shift the tree into maximum energy shield and recovery while continuing to scale minion levels and spirit; expect a respec entering maps. Bossing keeps the mapping rotation but adds Sigil of Power from the staff swap plus careful offering and curse sequencing for a strong single-target window.
