Overview

This entry is an endgame tuning pass on DeathKing’s Ice Shot Deadeye, focused on two things: never running dry on mana, and pushing critical damage bonus far higher for juiced expedition and map farming. It assumes the core freeze-and-shatter Deadeye shell and refines it for the Return of the Ancients patch.

The mana solution layers a new unique flask — the Utred Chalice Transcendent Mana Flask, which can overflow maximum mana and refills fast on kills — with Conservative Casting, the Mental Toughness notable (cheaper casts at low mana), mana regeneration on a ring, and a stacked “recover mana on kill” setup pulling from a Heart of the Well diamond plus a Time-Lost Sapphire’s radius notables for roughly 7% mana on kill. For the hungriest skills like Tornado Shot, an Efficiency support cuts cost by 40%.

On offence, the rework trades several utility nodes for critical-damage clusters, lifting crit damage bonus from around 300% to over 500% and tooltip DPS from roughly 102k to nearly 140k with Tailwind stacks.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Effectively solves mana sustain across mapping, bossing and juiced expeditions
  • Big crit-damage jump (~300% to 500%+) for a large DPS gain
  • High evasion plus deflection keeps it durable while pushing damage
  • A “hits against you reduce crit damage” socket adds defensive insurance for harder content

Cons

  • The Utred Chalice and supporting uniques add gearing cost
  • Crit-damage stacking trims some armour/evasion/ES — needs resistance rebalancing
  • Mana setup is fiddly to assemble (flask + notables + on-kill sources)
  • Top-end gear (good crit bow, better amulet) is expensive to chase

Key Skills

  • Ice Shot — main mapping attack and freeze applier
  • Tornado Shot — area multiplier; runs Efficiency to control its heavy mana cost
  • Herald of Ice — shatter-based clear
  • Freezing Mark / Snipe — single-target setup against tough enemies
  • Conservative Casting + Mental Toughness — the backbone of mana efficiency

Gear & Anointments

Centrepiece is the Utred Chalice Transcendent Mana Flask (needs a little runic ward on gear, which the build already runs on gloves). Stack mana regeneration on at least one ring or the amulet, and a crit-damage bonus roll on the bow is the single biggest crit source. Use a three-socket body armour for resistance flexibility plus a defensive “reduced crit damage taken” socket. Specific rolls should be confirmed against the source video.

Endgame Notes

The creator farms divines heavily through expeditions (≈10+ div on a good map) and breaches (2–3 div per tablet), occasionally hitting Fracturing Orbs in cleansed areas. If mana still strains on pinnacle fights, move the Efficiency support onto Ice Shot itself.
