Overview

This is a Twister spear build on the Huntress, powered by the Spirit Walker ascendancy. SiahZ pitches it as the best league starter he has played: Whirling Slash generates the attacks that fire out Twisters, and Spirit Walker’s bonus projectiles and projectile speed turn those Twisters into a wall of bouncing, multi-hitting damage. The ascendancy’s projectile speed is converted into increased damage, which the creator credits for melting both act bosses and early endgame bosses.

The build follows a single template from campaign into early maps, running two weapon sets: an attack-speed spear for Whirling Slash on set one, and a full-DPS spear (plus a scepter for reservation skills) for Twisters on set two. Physical damage is converted to cold via Frost Nexus and ice-dipped arrows, giving permanently chilled Twisters. A crit-focused variant is planned as a later upgrade.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Excellent boss damage — “deletes” act and early endgame bosses
  • Strong, smooth league starter that blasts the campaign even on poor gear
  • Primal Bounty feels natural since dodge-rolling to move auto-consumes its feathers
  • Clear, step-by-step act-by-act progression provided

Cons

  • Twister projectiles scatter in random directions (mitigated by bounce and multi-hit)
  • Early evasion-only defence is weak; needs hybrid armour/evasion to survive the campaign
  • Real endgame scaling depends on a later crit re-spec that is not yet shown
  • Whirling Slash feels bad at low attack speed — set-one attack speed is mandatory

Key Skills

  • Twister — main damage; supported by Salvo for extra projectiles, Frost Nexus for cold conversion, Projectile Acceleration, and Elemental Armaments
  • Whirling Slash — attack-speed generator on weapon set one that spawns Twisters
  • Freezing Mark — freezes targets and grants 30% damage gained as cold
  • Herald of Thunder — extra AoE clear
  • Wind Dancer — evasion and survivability layer

Gear & Anointments

Run an attack-speed spear on weapon set one (for Whirling Slash) and a high-DPS spear plus a scepter on weapon set two (for Twisters and reservation skills). Favour hybrid armour/evasion bases over pure evasion until you can stack enough evade chance, and prioritise capped resistances alongside flat and physical damage. The creator notes most gear is still acquired through trade; specific uniques to be confirmed against the source video.

Ascendancy & Progression

Take Primal Bounty first for the alpha-feather damage and a big act-two power spike, then Matcha’s Gift on the second lab to amplify projectile speed and count. Vivid Stampede and Wild Protector (for Sacred Unity) round out the later trials. Rush the first two labs through acts two and three for the major DPS spikes.

Endgame Notes

At the time of recording the build is at early endgame (around T5 maps), blasting on budget gear. A dedicated crit-swap variant and a full endgame update are promised by the creator as later upgrades.
