Overview
This Monk build weaponises Hollow Form as its engine: while the skill is held, the copies it spawns feed the character a constant stream of both power and endurance charges, so charge uptime is effectively permanent. Those power charges let two Shield Walls exist at once, and Earthquake — chosen deliberately as a level-one gem for the lowest possible mana cost — detonates them for the bulk of the clear. The endurance charges are spent on the Nebuloch mace to guarantee critical strikes, since Shield Wall itself does not scale off the weapon.
The result is a one-button melee blaster that hums along at very high speed. It runs Chaos Inoculation, which sidesteps the life-degeneration downside of heavy Rage stacking entirely: with maximum life fixed at one, Rage becomes free multiplicative damage instead of a drain to manage. Layered on top of an armour-based shield and a mana-regen sustain plan, the build is comfortable enough that the creator reports mana is never an issue even in the most juiced maps.
The standout trick is a snapshot interaction: holding Hollow Form while attacking preserves the endurance charge rather than consuming it per hit, so crits keep landing without ever draining the charge — a big part of why the sustain feels seamless.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Genuine one-button playstyle — hold right click to attack, tap a second skill to move
- Permanent power and endurance charge uptime via Hollow Form copies
- Excellent map clear speed, especially paired with Wolf weapon-swap movement tech
- Free Rage stacking thanks to Chaos Inoculation removing the life-degen downside
- Flexible skill slots — several sockets are optional and can be freely repurposed
Cons
- Chaos Inoculation (1 life) demands respect for chaos and one-shot avoidance
- Gear-gated defensively — leans on a strong armour shield and Mageblood (or a Soul Tether substitute)
- Rage/charge/CI interactions make it more complex to assemble than a beginner build
- Not a fresh-league starter; wants specific uniques and jewels to come online
Key Skills
- Hollow Form — the engine; spawns copies that generate charges and enable dual Shield Walls
- Shield Wall — primary damage source, detonated for AoE
- Earthquake — level-one detonator, cheapest mana cost to trigger Shield Walls
- Berserk / Rage — multiplicative damage per stack, kept free by Chaos Inoculation
- Wolf (weapon swap) — instant movement tech for zipping between packs and bosses
Gear & Anointments
Core weapon is the Nebuloch mace, socketed with two soul cores that each give a chance to gain an additional power/endurance charge on gain. Anoint Mystical Rage on the amulet (with Crown of Ice applying spell increases to attacks, this reaches 100%+ damage at 50 Rage), and try to secure Eternal Rage there as well. Way of the Stonefist on the ascendancy converts the gloves so you gain all three charges on hit. Mageblood is used mainly for defensive flask uptime — a Soul Tether plus an energy-shield-leech corrupted mod is the budget substitute. Jewels lean on Vorana (converts the strength keystone to energy shield) and Fable Stag-style “chance to not remove charges” sources. Specific item rolls should be confirmed against the source video.
Endgame Notes
The build is tuned for juiced mapping — the creator highlights maps like Deforestation for loot and notes everything dies fast enough that mana sustain never becomes a bottleneck even in heavily modified content. Megalomaniac’s Well of Power (mana on power-charge consumption) rounds out sustain for tougher fights.
