Overview
This is the final uber-endgame version of Scorpius’s plant Druid on the Oracle ascendancy. Entangle is the only skill you press. Thrashing Vines and Thunderstorm now go into a Cast on Critical setup and fire on their own, where they used to be cast by hand on bosses. The result is a one-button build that clears Grand Expeditions, Abyss and Breach and still kills bosses quickly.
The build depends on the Nature’s Archon buff. A Runebinder’s alloy puts it on a two-handed staff, and the Dominion anoint keeps it active the whole time you’re in combat. Nature’s Archon makes plants overgrow instantly, extends their duration, and adds two to the plant limit, which means four vines out at once. Thunderstorm starts the first overgrow and also shocks enemies for more damage. Because Oracle crits almost every time, a small chance to gain Arcane Surge on crit is enough to keep it up permanently too.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- One button to play; every other damage skill fires automatically
- Very high damage: over 127k tooltip before Sigil of Power, and around 300k in combat
- Clears all major league content and handles pinnacle bosses
- Nature’s Archon and Arcane Surge both stay up without any effort
Cons
- Slow movement; the creator uses Mobility and Quicksilver legacy mods to help
- Very hungry for mana, so you need a mana flask or Lavianga’s Spirits
- Getting Nature’s Archon on the staff is a gamble: the alloy only removes the bad suffix about one time in three
- The finished gear, including Mageblood or Headhunter, is expensive, though a rare belt works
Key Skills
- Entangle: the only skill you press, for clear and damage
- Thrashing Vines + Thunderstorm (Cast on Critical): automatic vines and overgrow triggers
- Sigil of Power: placed before bosses for more damage
- Convalescence: defensive skill for emergencies
Gear & Anointments
- Staff: three strong prefixes, +levels to physical spell skills, spell crit, and one bad suffix for the alloy to replace. Buy staves with no crafted mods. Astrid’s Creativity lets you use the alloy anyway.
- Helmet: at least 300 energy shield plus crit chance, to get the most from Illuminated Crown
- Body: high energy shield with spirit
- Gloves: Nightscale with Catagan’s Epiphany for an extra jewel
- Amulet: +3 or +4 to spell skill levels and energy shield, anointed with Dominion
- Belt: a rare belt is fine; later upgrades are Ingenuity, Headhunter or Mageblood
- Jewels: crit chance, crit damage and energy shield; a self-crafted Time-Lost jewel sits in a crit cluster
Endgame Notes
Around level 94, the tree can move to Chaos Inoculation through Patient Barrier and Controlling Magic. Drop Heavy Buffer when you do, because it would let damage bypass your energy shield under CI. Oracle’s reach then lets you take Tempered Mind to make up the lost physical damage.
