Overview
This Titan build solves the classic complaint about mace slams — that they feel slow and clunky — by stacking reduced skill duration until Earthquake’s aftershock becomes nearly instant. Normally the aftershock waits four seconds before exploding; with enough reduced duration it lands almost immediately, turning Earthquake into a non-stop, spammable slam. Titan is the ideal vehicle because its Hulking Form node grants 50% increased effect of small passive skills, massively amplifying every reduced-duration node on the tree — up to roughly 92% reduced duration.
That same reduced duration supercharges Time of Need: with Compressed Duration the heal triggers about every half-second, and with Palm of the Dreamer it drops to roughly 0.06 seconds. The healing becomes so fast that you can run Blood Magic and spam skills on life with no sustain problems. Ancestral Empowerment plus Fist of War 3 then make every second slam ancestrally boosted for big bonus damage and area.
Because most of the power lives in the passive tree, you can start on a very low budget and scale endlessly — a genuinely fun, low-floor, high-ceiling slam build.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Instant, spammable Earthquake aftershocks — fixes the slow, clunky feel of maces
- Core power comes from the tree, so it’s playable on a very low budget
- Aggressive life recovery (Time of Need) sustains Blood Magic skill spam
- Strong scaling ceiling via Ancestral Empowerment + Fist of War 3 and targeted uniques
Cons
- Reaching near-instant aftershocks needs heavy reduced-duration investment to feel right
- Best-in-slot enablers (Palm of the Dreamer, Vertex, Amanamu jewel) are budget-gated upgrades
- Blood-magic life spam demands disciplined recovery uptime to stay safe
- A focused slam archetype rather than a flexible do-everything toolkit
Key Skills
- Earthquake — the core slam; reduced duration makes its aftershock near-instant
- Fist of War (3) — doubles ancestral-boost effect for much harder, wider hits
- Compressed Duration — shrinks Time of Need’s recovery interval for constant healing
- Blood Magic — converts mana costs to life, enabling uninterrupted skill spam
Gear & Anointments
Defences center on high-armour gear, maximum life, and capped resistances. With budget, the Amanamu Undying Hate jewel grants Sacrifice of Flesh — preventing 20% of hit damage and spreading it over four seconds, which this build’s fast recovery sustains easily for extra tankiness. The Vertex is the recommended enabler: its no-attribute-requirement mod pairs with Giant’s Blood (one-handing two-handed maces) so you sidestep the tripled marshal-weapon attribute costs entirely. A +2 to +4 level of all skills corruption pushes damage further at higher budgets. Specifics to confirm against the source video.
Endgame Notes
The build is explicitly designed to scale: a low-budget tree-powered start that grows as you invest in reduced-duration enablers, the Vertex, the Amanamu jewel, and level-of-skills corruptions — staying tanky across both mapping and boss fights.
