Overview

This is a 0.5 preview showcase of a Huntress / Spirit Walker bow build oriented around Lightning-fast Barrage volleys, Ice Wall as a damage multiplier, and the Spirit Walker’s companion pack (bear, owl, stags, raven) for defensive and offensive scaling. Because Spirit Walker does not exist in the live patch yet, the creator demos the playstyle on a leftover Pathfinder character running garbage gear: no Hakiata, no Garukan, no Spectra Ward, no companions, no jewels, no flask, only a low-tier physical bow with T2/T3 rolls, a one-exalt quiver, and rings whose only useful stat is resistance.

Even in that deliberately underpowered state, the character caps elemental resistance, slips into low life via the Bloodied Belt + Tornado Shot loop, and clears a juiced T15 map (penetration, energy-shielding mobs, poison, enfeeble, temporal chains) without serious danger. The pitch: once Spirit Walker, the companion pack, and the real bow are in place on day one or two of the league, the build comfortably steps into pinnacle content. The video is positioned as proof-of-concept rather than a deep mechanical guide — the goal is to show the floor of the build, not its ceiling.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Functional in T15 maps with essentially zero investment — a true league-day-one shell.
  • Layered defense without commitment: near-cap evasion, lucky deflection (re-rolled on miss), and a future companion shifting ~40% of incoming hits onto the bear.
  • Ice Wall doubles single-target damage: arrows pierce the wall, pierce the boss, then return and hit again.
  • Star Conjurer and the deflection rework in 0.5 make the defense stack stronger than it looks on paper.
  • Easy low-life uptime via Bloodied Belt + a few Tornado Shots, opening the door to Low Life keystones later.

Cons

  • Showcase character has no ward / energy shield, so burning ground and other ground-DoTs are punishing until Spectra Ward is slotted.
  • True power level depends on uniques (Hakiata, Garukan) and companions that the live game has not seen yet.
  • Crit / lightning conversion branch is teased but not demonstrated — current showcase is the elemental / cold variant only.
  • Damage feels modest without the owl’s projectile and damage multipliers; expect to feel weak before the Spirit Walker tree fills in.

Key Skills

  • Barrage — main single-target volley; doubled in effective hits when fired through Ice Wall.
  • Tornado Shot — clear-speed primer and the trigger used to drop into low life from the Bloodied Belt.
  • Ice Wall — damage multiplier rather than a wall; piercing arrows return through it for a second hit.
  • Spirit Walker Companions — bear (taunt + intimidate + ~40% hit transfer), owl (projectile + damage + flask charges), stags (shock), raven (frenzy charges and frame generation).

Gear & Anointments

The showcase intentionally uses placeholders: a 400-DPS rare bow with T2/T3 physical and attack-speed rolls, a one-exalt quiver, resist-only rings (one mirrored via Kalandra), a Spirit-only amulet (~30–38 Spirit to simulate the day-one minimum), and a bare-bones evasion chest. Long-term targets named in the video are Hakiata, Garukan, and Spectra Ward (for a free chest energy-shield layer), with Star Conjurer staying as the chest unique on the budget version. Specific endgame uniques and anoints should be confirmed against the source video once Spirit Walker numbers are finalized for 0.5.

Endgame Notes

The creator runs a heavily-modified T15 (resistance penetration, energy-shielded mobs, poison, enfeeble, temporal chains) and clears without dying or stalling. The Ice Wall + piercing-arrow loop is presented as the main bossing tool, while companions handle aggro and defensive buffs in normal map play. Expect the crit / Hakiata + Garukan branch to outscale this elemental version by a wide margin once those uniques drop in the league.
