Overview

This is a roughly 2.5-divine all-content Flameblast Oil Grenade build on the Gemling Legionnaire. The identity is a budget ignite caster that punches far above its price: Flameblast stacks ignite damage, and Oil Grenade spreads that ignite across packs for screen-wide clear. The Gemling’s quality-stacking (Advanced Soul Metallurgy) pushes the alternate gem quality on Flameblast to roughly 600%+ more magnitude of ignite per stage, turning a cheap setup into a genuine endgame multiplier.

What makes this stand out among low-budget builds is its survivability. Most cheap builds run paper-thin defenses; this one reaches around 11k armour, 8k evasion, and 5.8k life by leaning on the Gemling ascendancy node Essence of Virtue (24% increased maximum life, 40% armour and evasion) plus the Com’s Heart unique. The result is a tanky, do-everything character that can face-tank hits while melting content.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Genuinely all-content viable — pinnacle bosses, 200% delirium maps, simulacrum, ritual
  • Very tanky for the price (11k armour / 8k evasion / 5.8k life)
  • Extremely cheap at ~2.5 divine total, with most gear being plain rares
  • Two-weapon-set setup gives both dedicated single-target (Flameblast) and fast clear (Oil Grenade)

Cons

  • Oil Grenade spam tanks GPU performance and causes frame drops, especially stacked in one spot
  • Fragile combo: any added/extra fire damage or explosion on gear breaks the Oil Grenade ignite-spread
  • If an enemy ignites your Oil Grenade it stops working and you must recast Flameblast
  • Will almost certainly be nerfed in a future patch given how strong it is for the cost

Key Skills

  • Flameblast — stacking single-target ignite nuke; quality is mandatory for the ignite-magnitude multiplier
  • Oil Grenade — clear engine that spreads the Flameblast ignite across packs
  • Elemental Weakness — curse to amplify fire/ignite damage
  • Support grenades (gas/flash/cluster, seismic cry) — used mainly to balance str/dex for support-gem capacity

Gear & Anointments

The build is almost entirely rares, keeping it cheap. The notable picks are Com’s Heart (large flat life), an expensive Fox Idol (all-skills, the biggest single damage source), and runes that increase magnitude of damaging elements (ignite counts). Two weapon sets are required — one tuned for Flameblast single-target, one for Oil Grenade clear (cooldown recovery, area effect, movement speed). Unique jewels include From Nothing and Prism of Belief (+1 Flameblast); rare jewels prioritize spell damage and magnitude of elements. Specific rolls and trade links are in the creator’s Mobalytics guide.

Endgame Notes

The build is pitched specifically as endgame-ready on a budget: it scales into pinnacle bosses and high-investment maps thanks to the quality-stacked ignite multiplier, while the Gemling defensive node keeps it durable. Just keep your gear free of added/extra fire damage so the Oil Grenade clear keeps functioning.
