Overview

This Stormweaver runs a cast-on-critical Comet engine fed by Spark and Orb of Storms. Rather than standing still to aim one large spell, the character floods the screen with small hits, converts those hits into critical strikes, and lets the trigger drop Comets on whatever is still alive. It auto-targets, freezes, shocks, and scales up rather than down as content gets more dangerous.

The design detail that makes it work in 0.5 is that the whole chain is scaled at once. Spark supplies the hit count, Orb of Storms multiplies those hits across the screen, and the cast-on-critical link converts them into Comets. Spark damage, Orb of Storms damage, and fire-infused Comet damage all matter, so gear and tree investment never feels wasted on a single button.

That gives the build two very different gears. In ordinary maps Spark and Orb of Storms alone clear packs while you keep moving. In juiced maps, dense rare packs, or pinnacle fights, the extra hits push the critical rate up, the Comet trigger goes off constantly, and single-target damage climbs to a level most map-clear builds never reach.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Scales up with danger — more enemies and more hits mean more Comets, so hard content is where it performs best
  • Genuine pinnacle boss damage without giving up screen-wide clear
  • Constant freeze and shock uptime provides a real defensive layer on top of energy shield
  • Auto-targeting gameplay; no manual aiming windows to hit under pressure
  • Elemental Equilibrium lets Orb of Storms feed cold infusion for Spark while Frost Bomb feeds fire infusion for Comet — no extra button required

Cons

  • Needs roughly 180 total spirit to run the full reservation package, which takes deliberate gearing across amulet, body armour and staff
  • Gated behind a specific crit-damage-locking unique glove; without it the crit-chance-over-crit-damage plan falls apart
  • Weapon-set and infusion mechanics make the setup fiddly to assemble correctly the first time
  • Mana sustain is a real constraint until the remnant package is online

Key Skills

  • Spark — main spam skill and the source of the hit count that drives everything else
  • Orb of Storms — dropped in clusters; every Spark passing through adds extra screen-wide hits
  • Cast on Critical → Comet — the boss and tanky-rare deletion package
  • Mana Tempest + Sigil of Power — burst window openers for rituals, breaches, and boss phases
  • Frost Bomb / Elemental Weakness — exposure and curse setup that also drives the infusion swaps

Gear & Anointments

The build leans on crit chance rather than crit damage, because a unique glove locks the critical damage bonus to a fixed high value — that is what makes Pinpoint Critical and similar chance-for-less-damage supports so efficient here. The exact glove name should be confirmed against the source video.

  • Staff — the biggest rare damage slot: gain damage as extra, increased spell damage, increased cold damage, plus levels to all spell skills, and cast speed. Levels to all spells matter because Spark and Orb of Storms are lightning while Comet is cold
  • Call of the Brotherhood — core; converts lightning to cold so Spark and Orb of Storms scale with the cold infusion setup
  • Amulet + body armour — the main spirit sources; a solar amulet implicit, staff prefix craft, and helmet corruption fill the rest
  • Helmet / body armour — largest energy shield pieces; boots for movement speed, resistances, energy shield
  • Jewels — maximum energy shield, spell crit chance, cast speed, and elemental scaling; a Black Flame Covenant jewel reaches the exposure and infusion notables efficiently

Endgame Notes

Ascendancy order is Tempest Caller, Strike Twice, Shaper of the Storms, then Storm’s Recollection. Strike Twice and Shaper of the Storms carry the hit and shock scaling; Storm’s Recollection keeps the remnant and mana package stable through long fights. Refracted Infusion is the cheaper alternative to Tempest Caller if you are not yet running the Elemental Storm ignition setup.
