Overview
A Shockwave Totem starter that turns the bear shapeshift into a Jagged Ground engine. Shockwave Totem in 0.5 scales off the base of the equipped weapon (50% of base attack damage and rising with skill levels), but the real damage lever is Jagged Ground — Shockwave Totem detonates jagged ground for ~222% added damage on top of its own ~62% explosion, which is roughly 4x stronger than the bare totem hit.
The shapeshift play loops three pieces together: Rampage (Bear) charges forward slamming the ground; Bear’s passive generates an endurance charge per 15 rage spent; and a support that consumes endurance charges on use creates extra Jagged Ground patches. Drop totems on top of a Jagged Ground field, and every totem explosion proc multiplies through the field. Builds toward five or so concurrent jagged-ground-detonating totems with talisman-slot scaling (abyss modifiers on talismans for +1 totem or 99% increased damage while you have a totem).
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Jagged Ground multiplier turns a modest base hit into ~4x damage
- Shapeshift passives are inherently stronger than their non-conditional cousins
- Bear’s endurance-charge generation is essentially passive
- Talisman scaling opens cheap early damage and totem-count uniques
Cons
- Ascendancy still undecided (Oracle leaning, Warbringer in contention)
- Requires juggling shapeshift + endurance charges + totem placement in boss windows
- Rage upkeep adds a setup beat between every burst rotation
- Title is intentionally provocative — author admits it isn’t pro-tier
Key Skills
- Shockwave Totem — core damage, scales off weapon and detonates Jagged Ground
- Rampage (Bear) — channelled movement + Jagged Ground spreader after endurance charge consume
- Jagged Ground (gem-level eruption) — primary damage multiplier; tied to endurance-charge consumption
- Eternal Rage / Berserk — rage upkeep (Berserk pending spirit budget)
Gear & Anointments
The headline gear pick is dual-wielding talismans with abyss modifiers — either Ulaman’s +1 maximum totems on melee skills, or the 99% increased damage while you have a totem mod, possibly stacked. The class side of the tree leans Oracle (more passive nodes, free allocation around big notables, +1 totem); Warbringer is a fallback for armour-break-below-zero scaling and extra totem-minion synergy. Titan is dismissed as boring despite Hulking Form’s appeal.
