Overview
Navira’s Fracturing on the Disciple of Varashta is a cold spellcaster wearing a minion build’s clothing. Companions supply the scaling — damage rides on minion levels rather than on your own weapon — but you never rely on the companion to kill anything. You press command skills, and the screen turns into shattering ice.
The pitch is smoothness. The character becomes functional the moment the first ascendancy lands in Act 2, at which point the companion alone trivialises the rest of the campaign. The creator, who spent the previous league working through a long list of builds, calls this the easiest league start he has ever played and reports reaching T15 maps within about a day on effectively nothing.
In maps the rotation collapses to one or two buttons. Ice Nova with Frost Infusion lays down chilled ground, Navira’s Fracturing detonates it, and with Frozen Nexus and the encroaching ground effects the ice propagates on its own — from there you hold the one button and clear. Once a spectre or beast supplies ice trails, the Ice Nova half drops out entirely.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Online at the first ascendancy in Act 2 and comfortable for the entire campaign on no gear
- Functionally a one-button mapper once ice trails are online
- Excellent for the content this event actually rewards — Ritual and Abyss, where enemies come to you
- The companion’s stacking command skill reaches 50% more damage per consecutive use, so single target stays strong without a separate setup
- Very low entry cost; the creator hit T15 without meaningful investment
Cons
- Damage plateaus at the high end — scaling is mostly plus-minion-levels, which gets expensive to push
- Not a true minion build, so players expecting minions to tank or kill will be disappointed
- Endgame ceiling is lower than dedicated scaling archetypes even though it clears everything comfortably
Key Skills
- Navira’s Fracturing — the main button; detonates chilled ground and propagates the explosion across the screen
- Companion command skill — campaign carry, then endgame single target via its stacking 50% more multiplier
- Ice Nova + Frost Infusion — leaves chilled ground to detonate, needed until a spectre or beast provides ice trails
- Frozen Nexus / encroaching ground effects — the support pieces that make the ice spread on its own
Gear & Anointments
The build’s selling point is that it works on nothing — the creator explicitly says it functions with essentially no gear and pushed to T15 that way. Scaling is plus levels to minions on gear rather than weapon damage. Specific uniques and anointments to be confirmed against the source video and the written guide linked in the creator’s description.
Endgame Notes
The creator singles out Abyss and Ritual as the standout content for this build, since screen-covering ground effects punish dense, stationary encounters hardest — which is exactly the shape of this event’s meta.
