Overview

This build turns Spark from a humble starter spell into a pinnacle-bossing and map-clearing machine on the Blood Mage. The core trick is the Blood Barbs ascendancy node, which makes elemental damage contribute to bleed — so every Spark and Comet hit layers physical bleed on top of its lightning damage. Stacking bleed magnitude and critical hit chance on a mana-stacking chassis lets the same skills both shred white-map packs and delete pinnacle bosses.

The creator tested the whole family of Spark variants (cast-on-crit, pure Spark, arc Spark) and settled on bleeding Spark as the strongest all-purpose version. The wiki presents the two budget tiers that felt best: a roughly 30–50 divine “Blitz Spark” entry build that already one-shots map bosses and clears comfortably, and a 200–360 divine version that quadruples Spark and Comet damage to the point you can carry other players through juiced Shaper maps.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • One-shots map bosses on the budget tier and clears pinnacle bosses without trouble
  • Very fast map clear once Spark damage scales up
  • Bleed conversion adds a strong damage layer on top of the base lightning hit
  • Scales smoothly with budget — the same skeleton works from 30 to 360 divines
  • High enough damage at the top end to carry parties through juiced maps

Cons

  • Not a league starter — the entry version still assumes ~30–50 divines and several key uniques
  • Mana-stacking and energy-shield gear requirements make it gear-gated
  • Crit + bleed-magnitude scaling means a fair amount of passive-tree and jewel optimisation
  • Comet/Frost Bomb boss setup adds button complexity over a one-skill build

Key Skills

  • Spark — primary clear and single-target skill; bleed, zenith, projectile acceleration, efficiency, rapid casting
  • Comet — boss-phase nuke; deep cuts, bleed, considered casting, elemental focus, concentrated area
  • Frost Bomb — pre-boss debuff to amplify Comet; short fuse, spell cascade/echo, overabundance
  • Arc Mage + remnants — siphon/mana/light remnants with harmonic remnant + remnant potency for the spirit/buff engine

Gear & Anointments

The build is a mana stacker on an energy-shield base. Look for a staff with +6 to all spell skills, high spell crit chance, cast speed and spell damage per maximum mana. Amulet wants +3/+4 to all spell skills plus spirit; rings prioritise high mana, cast speed, resistances and at least one with mana regeneration. Gloves are picked for crit chance and mana regen, and the chest is high energy shield with resistances. Jewels look for crit chance, increased magnitude of damaging ailments, and at least one with 2% life recovery on kill. Calandra’s Touch appears as an optional ring upgrade on the higher-budget version; confirm exact uniques against the source video.

Endgame Notes

The top-budget tier (200–360 divines) quadruples Spark and Comet damage and is comfortable carrying other players through high-effectiveness Shaper maps using only three or four Comets. Pinnacle bosses fall to the bleeding Spark + Comet combo with the Frost Bomb opener.
