Overview
This Cast on Crit Comet Stormweaver is a self-targeting spell build designed for the faster, more chaotic boss fights of 0.5. Rather than standing still to set up a manual damage window, it auto-targets, freezes, and shocks everything on screen while Spark and Orb of Storms generate a constant stream of hits. Those hits feed a Cast on Critical engine that rains fire-infused Comets down on anything tanky — the harder the content, the more crits land, and the more Comets delete the target.
What makes the build feel strong is that it scales the whole hit engine rather than one button. Spark provides hits, Orb of Storms multiplies them across the screen, and the Elemental Equilibrium node lets Orb of Storms create cold infusions for Spark while Frost Bomb creates fire infusions for Comet. The result is a setup that clears easy maps by simply running through packs, then erupts into pinnacle-boss damage when the Comet engine spins up.
It is a busy build with a lot of supporting buttons — Sigil of Power, Mana Tempest, Frost Bomb, Elemental Weakness, Convalescence — but the mapping core stays simple: drop Orb of Storms and spam Spark.

Call of the Brotherhood converts lightning to cold so Spark and Orb of Storms scale with the cold infusion setup. The build targets roughly 180 total spirit across amulet, body, and corruptions to run Cast on Crit, Mana Remnants, Staff of Elements, and Convalescence. Energy shield, resistances, and cast speed fill the remaining slots; Heart of the Vile can supply gain-as-extra-fire if the staff lacks it.
Endgame Notes
The build is purpose-built to scale from strong mapping into real pinnacle boss destruction — the denser and more dangerous the content, the harder the Comet engine hits. Rituals, breaches, and expedition packs are handled with the Mana Tempest burst window, and pinnacle bosses become target dummies once the full setup is connected.
