Overview
This is the refreshed 0.5 “Return of the Ancients” version of LugoHQ’s Infernalist minion endgame build, a Witch summoner that wins fights by stacking debuffs and then letting a wall of minions do the killing. The army is led by Powered Zealots dealing primarily lightning damage, backed by skeletal storm and frost mages, snipers, and a cloud of Unearth bone crawlers for clear. The character itself rarely needs to be in danger — a huge Warlord presence aura projects increased damage and safety out to the whole army from a distance.
The build’s identity is layered elemental shred. Blasphemy carries an Elemental Weakness aura, Frost Bomb and storm-mage shock add exposure, and Fire Exposure from the Infernalist hound feeds flammability — so by the time the zealots’ projectiles land, the target’s resistances are already collapsed. The update folds in fresh damage, defensive, and quality-of-life tuning over the earlier endgame guide, including a defensive core built on high armour, energy shield, and automatic block.
It is a deep-investment endgame build rather than a fresh-start project: it leans on a level-30 Powered Zealot gem, a fractured +3 minion amulet, and curated jewels, so it shines once you can feed it currency and a near-complete passive tree.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Massive minion army clears juiced maps fast — Pierce 3 on the zealots makes projectiles hit every enemy around you
- Deep elemental-shred layering (Elemental Weakness, exposure, shock) makes debuffed packs and rares melt
- Very tanky character: ~69% armour, healthy energy shield, and 54% automatic block chance
- Large Warlord presence aura keeps you safe while still buffing the army from range
- Flexible scaling path: swap in Rakiata’s Flow to invert enemy resistances and free up the exposure slots
Cons
- Gear-gated endgame build — wants a level-30 corrupted zealot gem, fractured +3 amulet, and tuned jewels
- Heavy minion micromanagement and gem-swapping (e.g. dropping zealots for snipers on certain bosses)
- Powered Zealots struggle to hit some flying “bug” monsters and a couple of awkward boss hitboxes
- A powerful breach belt mod (extra minion projectiles) currently crashes the game when paired with the sniper gas-arrow command
Key Skills
- Powered Zealots — main damage; lightning projectiles scaled to a level-30 gem with Wild Shards and Pierce 3
- Unearth Bone Crawlers — mapping clear army (20–25 out) with Feeding Frenzy, Culling Strike on rares
- Skeletal Snipers — dedicated single-target swap (up to ~17) for bosses and flying enemies the zealots miss
- Blasphemy + Elemental Weakness — walking curse aura that shreds nearby enemy resistances
- Frost Bomb / Storm Mages — exposure and shock layering for tanky rares and bosses
Gear & Anointments
The weapon is a Rattling Scepter with +4 (ideally +5) to minion skill levels plus an allies-deal-increased-damage roll. Core pieces target a Conjurer’s Mantle chest for extra spirit and armour, a fractured +3 all-minion-skills amulet, and a minion-level helm; the shield is a cheap-to-make high-armour piece supplying max fire/lightning res and block. Jewels are the priority craft — look for increased minion damage (15/15), minion attack/cast speed, and increased presence area of effect. The amulet anoints into Warlord (allies deal 40% increased damage, 40% increased presence area). Rakiata’s Flow is the key optional support: it treats enemy elemental resistances as inverted, letting you drop Frost Bomb and Elemental Weakness entirely. Specific exact rolls should be confirmed against the source video and its linked Mobalytics.
Endgame Notes
This is squarely an endgame mapping-and-bossing build. For juiced maps you run the full Unearth army with Pierce for screen-wide clear; for bosses and the flying runic-mechanic bugs you set minion counts down to a single zealot (to keep the minion support active) and bring up to ~17 skeletal snipers plus Frost Bomb exposure for concentrated single-target. The creator also details a corruption-crafting trick: corrupt a lower-level, quality’d, socketed uncut gem rather than a level-20 to chase +minion-skill rolls cheaply, then level it afterward.
