Overview

This build turns the Acolyte of Chayula into an unstoppable poison-stacking machine by exploiting the Splinter of Loratta, a level-zero weapon that always poisons on hit and lets an unlimited number of poison stacks sit on a single target. Where most builds are capped at a handful of stacks, this one piles hundreds of poisons onto a boss until it withers away, with each stack ticking for up to 5,000 damage for millions of effective DPS.

The damage engine is glued together with a few clever interactions. Because the Splinter deals no elemental damage, an Original Sin ring is used to convert all elemental damage to chaos — and since poison is chaos damage, every elemental source on the character now feeds the poison instead of being wasted. Repulsion (carried as an aura through Blasphemy) and the Herald of Blood plus Herald of Plague handle propagation, spreading bleed and poison outward and feeding the Plague Bearer, which charges to 100% and detonates whole screens.

Defensively the build leans on evasion, deflection, and a Ghost Shroud that instantly restores energy shield, so it shrugs off 200% delirium and pinnacle encounters. The headline detail: the core enabling weapon costs a single Exalted Orb, and the showcased 200% delirium farming is done on a 5–10 Divine budget.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Enabling weapon (Splinter of Loratta) costs one Exalted Orb — extremely cheap entry
  • Uncapped poison stacking produces millions of DPS against bosses
  • Plague Bearer detonations clear entire screens for fast mapping
  • Very tanky through evasion, ~90% deflection, and instant Ghost Shroud energy-shield recovery
  • Comfortably handles 200% delirium and pinnacle bosses on a modest budget

Cons

  • Relies on specific uniques (Splinter of Loratta, Original Sin) to function
  • Stacking poison, curses, heralds, and the Arkin combo is a lot of moving parts
  • Damage ramps over time rather than bursting instantly, so it leans on stack build-up
  • Full min-max scaling requires deeper investment beyond the budget version

Key Skills

  • Splinter of Loratta (weapon) — always poisons on hit and removes the stack cap, the foundation of the build
  • Repulsion + Blasphemy — curse-aura that applies physical hits converted into bleed and poison
  • Herald of Blood / Herald of Plague — propagate poison and bleed across packs
  • Plague Bearer — stores poison and detonates for screen-clearing burst
  • Arkin of Chayula — grants more physical and chaos damage plus Chayula’s Will tornadoes after gaining glory from chaos damage

Gear & Anointments

The core is the Splinter of Loratta paired with an Original Sin ring to convert elemental damage into chaos so it feeds poison. Gloves and rings that add elemental damage become poison scalers once Original Sin is equipped. A budget 1–65 leveling version exists (linked by the creator in the source video) before transitioning into the endgame setup. Specific support and gear choices to confirm against the source video.

Endgame Notes

The build is demonstrated clearing fully juiced tier-15 maps with three delirium tablets and 200% delirium, as well as deleting pinnacle bosses. The loop is simple: pop a spear field for the Arkin tornado, then chain Plague Bearer detonations while heralds keep poison spreading. Break armor with the spear field between detonations to further amplify poison.
