Strategy

This is a Ritual omen farm for patch 0.5.5, run after the 21 September bug fix that stopped deferred items reverting to their old tribute price and removed the false “item will disappear” warning. The loop is simple: stack Ritual tablets on regular maps, harvest tribute, spend Sacred Blooms to juice the map surface, and reroll the final altar for omens.

The creator logged 66 maps — half on ordinary three-tablet maps, half on Citadel maps — and found the ordinary maps returned more omens. Citadel runs felt slow and heavily RNG-dependent, so the recommendation is to farm Ritual on normal maps. Results over the sample: 34 omens, 9 special omens (Omen of the Hunt sells for roughly 5–6 Divine), one Fracturing Orb and a Mageblood that dropped from the map floor rather than from an altar.

It suits players who already have a mapping character and want a low-cost, tablet-driven way to farm omens with occasional big drops.

Atlas Tree & Setup

  • Master: Doryani — raises map level by one and can buff the Waystone’s affixes, with a chance to make the map clean (Fracturing chance) or corrupted
  • Waystones: tier 15 (map level 80 with Doryani). Some players claim level 81 / tier 16 drops more omens; the creator did not test that
  • Tablets: Ritual tablets with omen and reroll mods, one with Monster Sacrifice for extra tribute, plus a unique tablet. Normal tablets start around 78 Chaos; only the triple-reroll tablet is expensive
  • Tablet surface mods: Rarity and Effectiveness matter because Sacred Bloom juices the map surface; the Ritual rewards themselves are unaffected
  • Ritual tree: take Tainted (belt pool — chance at Mageblood / Headhunter) and the third, hardest option. Min-maxers switch to the second option (Number of Favours) on the final map of a set for extra rerolls
  • Atlas choice: favour Effectiveness over Pack Size — Sacred Bloom already brings enough tribute

Investment & Returns

  • Investment: low (cheap tablets; one pricier reroll tablet is optional)
  • Returns: mid — heavily RNG-driven; special omens and floor drops provide the spikes
  • Scales with more tablets, Effectiveness/Rarity and extra reroll favours

Step-by-step

  1. Run tier 15 maps with Doryani and three Ritual tablets (omen, reroll, Monster Sacrifice, unique).
  2. At the Ritual, activate Heart of the King. Prioritise choices that grant more tribute or extra Wildwood monster packs, then the highest-currency option or extra rerolls.
  3. Apply Sacred Blooms to your maps. Enter the portal and click altars — yellow drops more gold, purple and green empower the map, orange adds bosses and gives the best chance at special omens from omen altars. Open the chests.
  4. If you lose the portal, hit the head until the counter reaches 10 to be sent back; the map is now buffed with Wild Empowered monsters.
  5. Finish the map, then on the last map of the set use the Number of Favours option to maximise rerolls for omens.

Risks

  • Ritual is extremely RNG-heavy; results vary a lot between players
  • Some visual bugs remain after the fix
  • Citadel farming was slow and returned fewer omens in the creator’s test
  • The tier 16 vs tier 15 omen claim is untested
