Strategy
This method farms Abyss for Omens, specifically the Omens of Light and Abyssal Echoes that drop from rare Abyss monsters carrying the Amanamu void modifier. After testing Ritual, Breach and Expedition early in the mini-league, the creator found Abyss the most consistent source of divines, with dozens of divines’ worth of omens stacked up in the first days.
The key detail is the black smoke around Amanamu-void monsters. Damage only lands when you and the monster are on the same side of the smoke, and monsters killed inside the smoke mostly drop the less valuable omens. Pulling the monster out of the smoke before killing it is what turns this into a divine farm. The creator notes that Comet hits seem to count as inside the smoke, which may be a bug.
Exiles that spawn on top of an Abyss also create a special monster that drops a Heart of the Well jewel, worth roughly one and a half divines unidentified and more if it rolls well.
Atlas Tree & Setup
- Abyss atlas tree: take every node below that spreads Abyss pits across the whole map, the Omen node, and the Amanamu option (without Amanamu, no Abyssal Echoes drop)
- Unlock the full Abyss atlas tree by finishing the Abyss questline in the endgame, including the boss down in the pit
- Pick up pack size and magic/rare monster nodes; the creator prefers forest maps for extra rare monsters and recommends the Vaal city map
- Jade: the tablet-effect node is mandatory, and the strongbox node adds Cryptic Keys worth exalted orbs each
- Map mods: at least 20% more rare monsters; the creator shares a Portuguese regex to filter waystones
Investment & Returns
- Investment: mid — three Abyss tablets with “Abyssal monsters have a chance for Abyssal modifiers” and “more rare monsters spawned by Abyss”, plus one four-extra-Abyss tablet in the city map
- Returns: high — the creator had around 60 divines in omens after the first days, plus Cryptic Keys and Heart of the Well jewels
- Scales with rare monster count; Chaotic Omens on waystones and Sacred Bloom lumens push it further
Step-by-step
- Finish the Abyss questline and allocate the Abyss atlas nodes listed above.
- Roll waystones for rare monster count, or filter them with the regex; leave one mod slot open if you plan to use Chaotic Omens.
- Slot three Abyss tablets (plus the four-extra-Abyss tablet in the city map).
- Use Sacred Bloom before entering and grab the orange lumens that turn monsters rare.
- Clear the whole map, pulling Amanamu-void rares out of the smoke before killing them.
- Kill exiles that spawn on an Abyss for Heart of the Well jewels, and open strongboxes for Cryptic Keys.
Risks
- Tablet prices rise fast when a farm becomes popular; drop lower-priority mods to find cheaper ones
- Sacred Bloom makes maps much harder with many extra rares
- Killing monsters inside the smoke loses most of the profit
- Some skills (Comet) may register as inside the smoke
