Strategy
This Abyss setup targets three income streams at once: Craniums from Abyssal chests, Omen of Light from Abyssal Depths, and the general spread of Abyss currency (Ascension bones, Diamonds and the like). The creator tested it across 40 maps (about four hours), split into two 20-map runs, and landed around 50–60 divine per hour on average. The reasoning: Craniums can drop from Abyssal chests, so opening every chest twice with Cryptic Keys turns the chest into the main profit source.
The two runs compared maps with the Abyss “fissure” map modifier (three Abyss tablets) against city maps (four Abyss tablets). The fissure maps returned roughly 145 divine of tracked Abyss loot and 12 Abyssal Depths in 20 maps. City maps returned about 122 divine of Abyss loot with only six Depths, plus about 25 divine in fragments that the creator left out of the comparison. City maps gave a richer mix of Ascension bones and Diamonds, while the fissure maps found about twice as many Depths, which is where Omen of Light dropped most often.
It suits players who want Craniums or Omens of Light and already clear Abyss comfortably.
Atlas Tree & Setup
- Tablets: Abyss tablets at roughly 1 divine each. The required modifier is increased quantity of Abyss currency. Fill the other two slots based on your goal: effectiveness, extra Abyss or monster modifiers if you want Omens, and Abyss-drop or rarity modifiers if you want Craniums.
- Waystone: balance item rarity (it affects Abyssal chest loot and Craniums) against monster rarity (it affects Omen of Light drops). Don’t stack only one of them.
- Atlas master: Jado. Take Partial Translation (better tablet modifier quality), the node that can drop Cryptic Keys, and the node that doubles Abyssal chest rarity. Corrupted Map is a useful fourth node if you corrupt your waystones.
- Abyss tree: take the “monsters have increased effectiveness per explicit” style node and Amanamu for Omen of Light.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: mid (four Abyss tablets at about 1 div each per map, plus Cryptic Keys)
- Returns: about 50–60 div/hr reported, from 122–145 div of Abyss loot per 20 maps
- Scaling: better tablet modifiers and more Abyssal Depths per map. The results rely heavily on luck.
Step-by-step
- Roll or buy Abyss tablets with quantity of Abyss currency, plus two goal-specific modifiers.
- Pick your map type: the Abyss fissure modifier if you want Omens of Light (more Depths), or city maps with four tablets if you want a broader currency mix.
- Run a waystone with balanced item rarity and monster rarity.
- Every time you find an Abyssal chest, open it and then use a Cryptic Key right away to open it again. This is how you get Craniums.
- Always go into Abyssal Depths. When an Amanamu monster sits inside its black smoke ring, try to pull it out before you kill it. The creator found this helped only about half the time.
Risks
- The results come from a small sample (20 maps per variant), and the creator says luck could reverse the comparison.
- The tablet modifier that adds Abyssal Depths was inconsistent in testing, so the setup doesn’t rely on it.
- Cranium and Omen prices move quickly, so the div/hr figure depends on the current market.
