Strategy
This is a pure Abyss rare-farming strategy built to print Omen of Light, Abyssal Echo and a steady stream of raw divines. The idea is to spawn enormous numbers of rare monsters per map so that abyssal monsters — which each drop exactly one abyssal omen — appear in bulk. Across a full day of testing the creator averaged roughly one Omen of Light every two maps, with omens being the single biggest money-maker, ahead of raw Rolling Vines.
A key insight that shapes the whole setup: omens do NOT scale with monster effectiveness (an abyssal monster only ever drops one omen no matter how buffed it is). Omens scale with player rarity, map rarity, monster rarity, and simply spawning more rares. So you stack rare count and rarity, not monster effect. Note the recent JO/Partial Translation change — tablets now gain a random 0–40% increased explosive-modifier effect — which keeps the strategy roughly equal on average to prior testing.
Atlas Tree & Setup
Complete the full Atlas tree, the full Abyss tree, and the full Delirium tree — a raw-rare strategy wants every point of juice. The Atlas “additional tablet on city maps” node is mandatory, alongside the three +8% tablet-effect nodes (24% total). Run only Vaal city maps so you can slot the extra tablets and stack their effect.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: high — needs four Abyss-capable tablet slots, expensive +2-modifier / increased-rare tablets, and a build strong enough for ~20-mod, 200% Delirium maps.
- Returns: high — prints Omen of Light, Abyssal Echo and frequent raw divines; omens out-earn the Rolling Vines.
- Scales with player/map/monster rarity and total rare count rather than monster effectiveness.
Step-by-step
- Finish the full Atlas, Abyss and Delirium trees.
- Build four tablets for the map — keep at least two as Abyss tablets. You can swap the other two for cheaper tablets (radiated, delirium, breach) to cut cost.
- Make the mandatory mods present: abyssal monsters have increased effectiveness per closed pit, chance to contain Fatal Pits, and map has +2 modifiers; favour increased number of rares and pack size.
- Keep one Abyss tablet with four pits + two random modifiers, and one with the grease/increased-effect mod + two random modifiers (you cannot combine both suffixes on one tablet — that is why you need at least two Abyss tablets).
- Run only Vaal city maps to use the extra tablets and the 24% tablet effect.
- Push on 200% Delirium for the rare density and rewards.
Risks
- These maps are extremely hard — near 20 map mods plus 200% Delirium demands a genuinely strong, well-defended build.
- Tablet cost (especially +2-modifier / increased-rare tablets) is high and can eat into profit.
- Monster effectiveness is a trap stat here — it does not scale your omen income.
