Strategy
This method layers Delirium and Ritual on top of one another to chase two of the most valuable reward types in Return of the Ancients at the same time: high-value omens from Ritual and the new boss-only potent (liquid) emotions from Delirium. The key insight is that Delirium’s new potent emotions can only drop from bosses slain inside Delirium fog — and a single Rite of the Nameless can spawn five to eight bosses. By running Ritual inside Delirium-fog maps, every Ritual boss becomes a chance at an emotion like Ferocity (~3–4 div) or Contempt (~8 div), while you still collect the omens Ritual is famous for.
It suits a player who already has a tanky, well-rounded endgame character and wants a relaxed but engaging loop rather than a one-button blast. Delirium monsters scale to 200% difficulty and become extremely tanky, so this is a Tier 15+ strategy, not a league-start farm.
Atlas Tree & Setup
On the Delirium tree only a few notables truly matter: “You can’t scare me anymore” (unique monsters/bosses in fog can drop potent emotions), “Are you sure you want to do that?” (tablets gain double effect near a Grand Mirror), and “I know your childhood fears” (+25% liquid emotions and a 20% chance for them to be Ancient). Grab the Similacrum-splinter notable early or you will get no splinters at all. On the regular Atlas, prioritize summoning circles above almost everything — more circles means more bosses means more emotions. Unlock four-modifier tablets by clearing Arbiter of Ash then Arbiter of Divinity. Run the full Ritual tree. Jamanra (unexpected missions / unforeseen threats) or Doryani both work as Atlas masters.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: mid — needs a capable T15+ character; optional Freedom of the Faith + reroll tablets run ~15 div but are not required.
- Returns: roughly 20–30 div/hr on the low end with 7–10 minute maps; ~3–6 high-value omens plus around one potent emotion per full Rite of the Nameless.
- Scales hard with reroll tablets and Similacrum farming (Megalomaniac jewels, Voices, Raven’s Reflections for the pinnacle boss).
Step-by-step
- On travel maps, run 1–2 Delirium tablets + 1 Ritual tablet, prioritizing summoning circles, to self-sustain Heads of the King and spawn Grand Mirrors.
- Path through Grand Mirrors for the double-tablet effect on your way to objectives.
- Set up Delirium fog on a cluster of maps, then place Rite of the Nameless on those fogged maps.
- In each Rite map, kill the map boss first so bosses populate the rituals, then run the rituals and defer high-value omens.
- Push the fog bar to 100% to unlock Similacrums; bank them and run them back-to-back for jackpot loot.
Risks
- Delirium monsters get very tanky at high fog %; an undergeared character will stall.
- Maps run longer than a pure clear-speed strat because you are completing rituals.
- Emotion drops are RNG (1-in-20 per boss) and low-value emotions like Melancholy are near-worthless.
- The expensive reroll tablets are not worth it for most players at current prices.
