Strategy

This is a moderate-investment Ritual farming strategy for players who have banked some currency and want to start gambling for the big-ticket rewards. The headline targets are the best belts in the game right now — Mageblood and Headhunter — which can drop outside Ritual but are extremely rare. Ritual is the shortcut to chase both of these very expensive belts (at recording, Mageblood sat around 380–390 Divine).

The Ritual mechanic places altars in your map: you kill monsters around an altar, interact to spawn a wave, clear it, then open the altar to be offered rewards. The key 0.5 change is that Ritual altar rewards are guaranteed to be Uniques and Omens only, no matter how many times you reroll. The whole farm comes down to one idea: bank as much tribute as possible, then reroll as many times as possible — the more rerolls, the higher your chance of an expensive item appearing.

Atlas Tree & Setup

Map: Tier 16, 6-mod. It must be T16 because the expensive Omens (the Omen of Announcement family) only drop in level-80+ maps, which T16 enables. Run City-biome maps, because there’s an Atlas node that grants an extra tablet slot while in a City biome.

Tablets (4): Freedom of Fade (mandatory — it doubles your rerolls, e.g. 4 rerolls becomes 8) + three rare Ritual tablets + Head of the King (raises Ritual difficulty and guarantees an altar in the boss room — optional but recommended). The must-have mod on the rare tablets is reduced cost at the Ritual altar (cuts the tribute spent on rerolls, aim for ≥27%). The other mods are flexible: chance for additional Omen, reduced defer cost, or Monster Sacrifice (extra tribute on kills). After beating Arbiter of Divinity you unlock a node that lets tablets carry up to 4 mods.

Atlas passives: Bank all your points before farming seriously. Take Summoning Circle (adds content that spawns bosses — more bosses means more tribute). On the Ritual nodes, take the Traveler’s node (gives a chance to roll belts when you tent) and Invigorate Sacrifice; if your build can handle it, pick the option that grants +50% damage to skills in the altar and +10% tribute, otherwise pick the option that gives less tribute but softer monster hits. Master: Jodi — the key nodes are Unexpected Mission (Corrupted Waystone adds a mod; T16 is already corrupted, downside is it rerolls the map) and Chance for double effect of tablet explicits (a 20% chance to double tablet effects, including doubling Ritual altars — 4 altars can become up to 9 in a single map).

Investment & Returns

  • Investment: Mid — the 25-map test run cost about 3,137 ex (~37 Divine), roughly ~1.5 Divine per map. A cheaper variant exists (T15 + a radiated-level tablet) for genuinely low-budget players.
  • Returns: The test run grossed ~5,785 ex (~68 Divine) for ~31 Divine profit, about 10 Divine/hour — and that run hit no jackpot. If a Mageblood or Headhunter drops, hourly profit spikes dramatically.
  • Difficulty: Mid — T16 6-mod takes about 6–7 minutes per map and needs a build that can handle it.

Step-by-step

  1. Bank all your Ritual-line Atlas points before farming seriously.
  2. Run T16 6-mod City-biome maps with 4 tablets (Freedom of Fade + 3 rare Ritual + Head of the King).
  3. Beeline straight to the boss and open the boss-room altar FIRST — do not open altars on the way, for maximum efficiency.
  4. Clear monsters around each altar to bank as much tribute as possible, then reroll rewards as much as possible to fish for expensive Uniques/Omens.
  5. Open all remaining altars (usually 6) and collect.

Risks

  • With Head of the King you cannot defer the Audience with the King — you must spend all tribute within that map.
  • The Unexpected Mission node rerolls the map, so the biome you load into can change.
  • Returns are swingy because it’s a unique lottery — base hourly can be lower than an Abyss strategy (~15 Divine/hr), but the upside from an expensive belt is the point.
  • Not recommended for slow-clearing builds like Ice Shot; better suited to builds like Twister or MA.
