Strategy
This method runs Expedition on regular city maps instead of the ocean and island maps many players use. City maps have four tablet slots, normal layouts and plenty of free-roaming monsters. Instead of one Grand Expedition you get several smaller encounters per map, and loot comes from the whole map as well as the Expedition chests.
The creator switched after testing both approaches. The earlier ocean setup needed three tablets at about 30 Divines each (roughly 90 Divines per map), while four city-map Expedition tablets cost about 10 Divines each, around 40 in total. Their best showcase map returned 25–26 Divines. The run recorded in the video was much weaker, at about 11–12 Divines, so treat 20–25 as an upper-end figure rather than an average.
This is heavy content. Stacked explosives and remnants make the last encounters in a map very dangerous, so it is aimed at strong, well-geared builds with good area damage.
Atlas Tree & Setup
- Atlas tree: push monster effectiveness everywhere. Take the desert effectiveness node and make city maps count as desert, set cities to count as grass for the grass effectiveness node, and pick movement speed and spirit where the path allows. Take the Summoning Circle and Splits nodes. Summoning Circle can spawn an extra boss whose fragments drop in the map; they were worth about 1.5 Divines each at recording time.
- Expedition tree: take the extra remnant chance, additional explosives, the power-remnant chance and the extra encounter chance. Every additional remnant you stack compounds the loot bonus.
- Waystones: tier 15 with eight modifiers and a focus on effectiveness. Alchemy a tier 15 up to six modifiers, reroll to strip pack size and rarity, add a modifier with an Omen, then corrupt and hope for eight modifiers. Aim for more than 40% effectiveness; around 38% is the minimum that still drops well.
- Tablets: four Expedition tablets with rarity and effectiveness, extra logbook chance and extra remnant chance, at about 10 Divines each.
- Atlas master: Jado with corruption, Eternal Knowledge (reroll and keep the best result), a node that boosts your tablets’ modifiers, and exceptional-item chance for valuable bases. The creator prefers Jado to Doryani for this farm.
- Wildwood: apply the cheap league consumable that adds wisps to the map and follow paths with more yellow wisps, which add extra modifiers to monsters.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: high. Expect about 40 Divines in tablets plus roughly 1 Divine per Waystone craft.
- Returns: high. A good map returned 25–26 Divines and a weak one about 11–12, with logbooks (about 10 logbooks per Divine) padding every run.
- Scaling: the creator later bought a top-end tablet set (rarity, effectiveness, random modifiers and extra remnant chance) at 300–400 Divines per tablet, but did not show results in the video.
Step-by-step
- Copy the Atlas and Expedition trees, focusing on effectiveness and extra remnants.
- Craft a tier 15 eight-modifier Waystone with at least 40% effectiveness.
- Pick any city map, apply the Wildwood consumable and slot all four Expedition tablets.
- Clear the whole map, grabbing every remnant and prioritising Opulent ones in each encounter.
- Detonate the Expeditions, finish any Ritual altars, and sell logbooks along with the loot.
Risks
- Results vary a lot; the recorded map returned about half the headline number.
- The late encounters with stacked remnants can kill under-geared characters, and deaths cost the map.
- Wildwood areas are dark and hard to read.
- Tablet and fragment prices are from recording time and will drift during the league.
