Strategy
This is a deep-dive Expedition farming guide focused on reading remnants correctly and hunting Aldur’s Saga and Aldur’s Legacy drops. After the 0.5.1–0.5.3 buffs and the Legacy season rewards, Expedition has become the creator’s favourite money-maker: you stack rarity, monster effectiveness and modifiers on irradiated maps so that both remnant rewards and ground loot pay out. The headline figure is roughly 50 divines/hour without Aldur’s Saga, climbing to ~100+ divines/hour when Sagas drop, plus occasional Aldur’s Legacy jackpots.
The defining skill is remnant rune-slot selection: the guide teaches which rune counts are worth committing to and which to skip, so you spend currency only where the expected value is high.
Atlas Tree & Setup
Run self-made irradiated tablets with high increased item rarity and master effectiveness (reforge them yourself at the bench — they’re cheap). Three tablets per map, aiming for high-rarity, high-effectiveness map mods. Allocate the full Expedition atlas tree. Inside maps, read the island rumors before opening: favour normal Expedition rumors (e.g. Endless Cliff at high tier) and avoid unique-map and pure boss-encounter rumors — green “use if three rumors” over red “do not use”. Aldur’s Saga maps guarantee higher remnant rune counts.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: mid — irradiated tablets are self-craftable and cheap; main cost is good maps and optional Aldur’s Saga (~36 divines, rising). Returns: high — ~50 divines/hour baseline, ~100+/hour with Saga drops, and rare Aldur’s Legacy drops worth a large multiple. Expedition chests alone routinely cough up exalts and 2–3 divine orbs per map.
Step-by-step
- Reforge irradiated tablets to high rarity + master effectiveness (three per map); roll high-rarity/effectiveness map mods.
- Read island rumors first — dodge unique-map and boss-only rumors, target normal Expedition rumors with multiple good mods.
- Pick your remnant rune count deliberately: 5–6 are excellent value (divines, chaos, perfect orbs), 7 is good (Aldur’s Saga), 8 is a trap (mostly socket-bound junk), 9–10 are jackpots. Avoid committing to 8.
- When remnants are weak, switch to stack-and-clear: propagate the best mods (rarity, revive, double-loot) remnant to remnant and farm the dense monster packs for ground loot.
- Open Aldur’s Saga / Aldur’s Legacy when you find clean rumors (e.g. Foreign Skies guarantees 9–10 rooms). Also bomb the red-flag rare packs every map for near-guaranteed logbook drops (~1 divine each).
Risks
- Heavily stacked monsters are deadly — bring a tanky, high-mobility build (the creator uses Blink for repositioning).
- Committing to high rune-slot remnants (especially 8) can waste currency on bad reward pools.
- Aldur’s Legacy drop rate is low — treat it as a bonus, not the baseline.
- Aldur’s Saga and logbook prices fluctuate; post-patch highs will likely soften.
