Strategy

The 0.5 patch reworked Delirium into one of the strongest currency mechanics in the endgame, and this strategy turns it into a steady divine printer by running Delirium Mirrors on travel maps — the in-between nodes you cross while moving toward Grand Expeditions, citadels, and other high-value targets. Delirium rewards raw speed: rush in, kill, move on. That makes it a perfect match for travel maps you want to clear quickly anyway.

Unlike PoE1, there is no big loot explosion at the end of a Delirium. Instead, Delirium acts as a large quantity multiplier on everything that drops as you kill — extra currency, extra bases, liquid emotions, and most importantly Simulacrum Splinters. You bank 300 splinters into a Simulacrum, and a Simulacrum is currently worth around 2.5 divines, with a single juiced map able to yield anywhere from 50 to a full 300 splinters.

This is high-end farming — it assumes a fully (or nearly) unlocked Atlas tree and a character strong enough to survive juiced, tanky monsters. The creator is blunt that the only real downside now is difficulty, not reward.

Atlas Tree & Setup

Take the entire Delirium cluster — Simulacrum Splinters are gated behind the tree, so partial investment defeats the purpose. On the spread keystone, always pick the option that fogs the most maps (Grand Mirrors can chain to 20+ maps). Strong path bonuses are Spirits (consistent, summons fracturing mirrors) or Summoning Circles (more bosses = more splinters and rare emotion drops via the ‘you can’t scare me anymore’ boss-kill bonus).

Run corrupted six-mod tier 15 maps under the Jato master node to add an extra modifier and partial translations (up to 40% increased tablet effect). Delirium tablets want: Simulacrum Splinter stack size (mandatory), plus either increased fracturing mirrors or mirror shards, with monster rarity/quantity prefixes; ‘Delirium encounters more likely to spawn unique bosses’ is a cheap, strong alternative. Avoid less-recovery, chilled-ground, and temp-chains map mods.

Investment & Returns

  • Investment: mid — tier 15 corrupted maps, Delirium tablets, and a finished Atlas tree; no fancy per-map setup required
  • Returns: high — ~300 Simulacrum Splinters per good map (each Simulacrum ~2.5 div) plus a noticeable uptick in raw currency and bases
  • Scaling: stacks beautifully with other mechanics — dropping a 200% Delirious fog onto Breach or Abyss maps multiplies their value, and Simulacrums are the main route to chasing Voices (mirror-tier)

Step-by-step

  1. Finish (or nearly finish) your Atlas Delirium tree before attempting this.
  2. Roll tier 15 maps to six mods and corrupt them; avoid the dangerous defensive mods.
  3. Apply Delirium tablets with splinter stack size + fracturing mirrors/mirror shards.
  4. Run travel nodes with Delirium Mirrors, killing fast to push deliriousness on the fogged maps.
  5. Bank 300 Simulacrum Splinters into a Simulacrum; run it for Voices, emotions, and raw currency.
  6. In Simulacrum waves, favour the Apex Predator (boss) and mod options over extra monster packs — extra packs are far more lethal.

Risks

  • Monsters are very tanky and the mechanic is genuinely hard — a weak character will die repeatedly
  • Simulacrum rewards are high-variance; some runs net 30+ divines, others lose currency
  • Extra-monster-pack Simulacrum choices can chain-kill you; the boss worm can rarely bug out a run
  • Liquid emotion values drop as more players farm Delirium — splinters/Simulacrums are the stable income
