Strategy
This strategy bounces between fully juiced Expeditions and the Atzeri Temple, and its headline feature is that the core drops are not scaled by item rarity — so it stays extremely profitable even on a character with zero rarity on gear. Rarity is still nice to have, but it is not required, which frees up huge amounts of gear budget for damage and defenses.
The reasoning behind the swap is pure economics. The standard Delirium-plus-Expedition setup has been run by everyone, so Delirium-sourced items have fallen in value. Meanwhile GGG moved several Temple currencies out of general map drops a few weeks ago, and the market finally caught up — Temple currency is now well up in price. Expedition itself has received a month of buffs and is arguably the strongest league mechanic in PoE2 right now. Running the two together is really two (arguably three) farming strategies at once, which also keeps the gameplay varied and helps prevent burnout.
Atlas Tree & Setup
Run corrupted T15 six-mod maps for speed (eight-mod or T16 is optional, not necessary). The rotation is three phases: a set of ~10 ocean travel nodes (the ones without the Trescalian marker), then a set of ~10 Grand Expeditions, then run all the Temple charges you have banked — then repeat. You swap tablets between phases: triple Temple tablets on the travel nodes, triple Precursor tablets on the Grand Expeditions.
For the Expedition master, run Jadao. Unexpected Missions makes corrupted maps far more rewarding, Eastern Knowledge gives a 10% chance to roll all Verisium Remnants (with a guaranteed Expedition every map), Partial Translations is the usual explicit-mod boost, and Untold History increases lineage support drops from Olroth. On the Temple tablets, the only suffix that still matters is chance to gain an additional crystal from Vault Beacons — most other tablet mods are now dead. With average-or-better crystal rolls plus Jadao, you average roughly an extra 2/3 to 3/4 of a crystal per map, meaning six to eight runnable Temples per set of ten maps.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: mid — tablets (triple Temple / triple Precursor) plus decent corrupted T15 maps; no rarity gear required
- Returns: high — Temple currency is currently high value and the corrupted-monster mechanic is generous with Chaos and Divines
- Scales with tablet quality and map juice, not with character rarity, so it is friendly to fresh or damage-focused characters
Step-by-step
- Set the Atlas master to Jadao (Unexpected Missions, Eastern Knowledge, Partial Translations, Untold History).
- Run a set of ~10 ocean travel nodes with triple Temple tablets to bank Temple charges.
- Run a set of ~10 Grand Expeditions with triple Precursor tablets.
- Spend all banked Temple charges back-to-back in the Atzeri Temple.
- Repeat, bouncing between travel-node and Grand-Expedition tablet setups.
Risks
- Expedition and Temple have mild negative synergy — you are not doing one while doing the other — so it works as parallel strategies rather than a single combined map
- Temple currency value is market-driven and can drop if the meta shifts back
- Requires managing two tablet configurations and a rotation, which is more overhead than a single-mechanic farm
