Strategy
This guide is about farming tamed beasts — specifically Monkeys that roll three modifiers including extra crits — for companion builds such as the Spirit Walker. Ritual maps are the engine: rare beasts show up in Ritual content, and the creator’s routing lets you find and tame them far faster than random encounters, peaking at a method that yields around seven Monkeys per map.
It also doubles as a currency route. Pathing your Ritual maps carefully earns tribute and loot while you hunt, so the time spent taming is not dead time. It is aimed at companion players who need a high-roll pet, and at anyone who wants to sell well-rolled beasts.
Atlas Tree & Setup
The guide highlights one key Atlas node and recommends Riverside and Rupture maps, with a separate method for finding more of them. Tablets help; trade filter links for the tablets are in the video description. Specifics to confirm against the source video.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: low–mid — tablets and the right maps
- Returns: mid — a well-rolled Monkey for your own build, plus Ritual currency on the side
- Scaling: the “7 Monkeys per map” method is the high-throughput version
Step-by-step
- Prepare tablets and the key Atlas node shown in the guide.
- Target Riverside / Rupture maps and use the method for finding more of them.
- Clear Ritual content and look for rare Monkeys to tame.
- Use +1 / 20% quality gems to make taming easier.
- Path your Ritual map to earn currency while hunting.
- Move to the “7 Monkeys per map” method once set up.
Risks
- The best 3-mod rolls are still luck-based; many tames will be mediocre
- Map availability (Riverside/Rupture) limits how often you can run the fast method
- Companion value depends on current build meta
