Strategy
This is a fast, low-effort way to stock up on high-modifier rare tamed beasts for minion and beast-companion builds in 0.5. Ghazzy walks through two complementary methods: a bulk approach using Untainted Paradise for four-modifier rares across the board, and a targeted approach using essence modifiers to fish for a specific beast with the exact two or three mods you want. Both rely on the fact that tamed beasts cap at one of each type, so you only ever need one good copy of any given chain beast.
The big caveat up front: tamed beasts become account-bound the moment you bind one to a gem, and a beast on screen locks to whoever was already in the instance — so you cannot tame-trade or invite someone in to grab your spawn. Plan to farm what you personally need.
Atlas Tree & Setup
No dedicated atlas tree is required. For the bulk method, run an Untainted Paradise map (it is wall-to-wall beasts) with whatever pack-size/juicing you have, bring a large stock of Tame Beast skill gems, and capture everything, disenchanting the duds afterward. For the targeted method, pick a zone known to spawn the monster family you want — the video notes Fakapanu Island for coconut crabs, and other areas for the blood-thief wasp and similar cheap minions. Specifics beyond these examples are worth confirming against the source video.

Step-by-step
- Bulk: open an Untainted Paradise map, capture every beast, disenchant the bad ones, keep the four-mod rares.
- Targeted: enter your chosen zone and look for a monster carrying an essence modifier (do not break the essence).
- If the mods are wrong, respawn at the checkpoint to reset the instance (not the zone) and re-roll the essence monster.
- Repeat until the beast has the two or three modifiers your build wants, then tame it.
- To fully reset, Ctrl+left-click the area entrance to open a brand-new zone and hunt a fresh essence.
Risks
- Tamed beasts are account-bound once gem-linked and cannot be sold or shared
- The essence method is RNG — expect several resets before the right roll
- Untainted Paradise gives quantity, but you still sift through a large pile of rares
