Strategy

This is a general-purpose Atlas tree guide for patch 0.5, aimed at players who want a framework for what to pick rather than a single fixed tree. The core advice is simple: when you are starting out, rush the generic loot multipliers first — increased number of rare monsters, increased magic monsters, Talisman effect, and the biome bonuses that apply to every map regardless of which mechanic you run. These nodes scale your rarity, quantity and Talisman effect across the whole Atlas, so they are the best baseline before you specialize.

Beyond that baseline, the tree should bend toward whichever league mechanic you actually farm. Strongboxes and essences are strong league-start but fall off later in the patch (research strongboxes are still decent for raw currency). The big addition this patch is the expanded biome system, which now gives meaningful per-biome modifier choices that can dramatically juice a map.

Atlas Tree & Setup

Per-mechanic priorities the creator recommends:

  • Ritual — focus on pack size (more pack size = more Favour). Rarity is always good; summoning circles can spawn inside ritual for extra Favour, so take those nodes.
  • Breach (raw loot) — monster weakness and rarity for maximum drops. For high-blood breach instead, swap toward pack size.
  • Abyss — rarity for Ulaman currency, or monster weakness for the Amanamu strat; always take Rogue Exiles, which pair extremely well with abyss for abyss jewels.
  • Delirium — treat it as a boss-rush mechanic and take the boss nodes.

Biome choices (each city map gives two biomes): Desert = rare effect / increased rares / rare modifiers (great for breach + rare-focused abyss). Mountain = tablet effect, shrines, strongboxes (good for tablet/pack-size farming). Grass = pack size, spears, summoning circles, plus a strong “5% chance for greater currency to become perfect” or monster-effect option. Swamp = the best boss-juicing biome (rares into bosses, essences on bosses) plus a 10% chance for exalted orbs to drop as chaos. Forest = the most increased rare monsters (up to ~65%) — pure rare juicing. Water is the weakest, mostly magic-mob pack size plus increased gold or currency-from-chests.

Investment & Returns

  • Investment: low — this is a passive-allocation guide, no currency cost beyond your maps
  • Returns: mid — scales the value of whatever mechanic you already farm rather than being a strategy on its own
  • A typical all-purpose pick is grass + forest + (mountain or desert) swapped by mechanic

Step-by-step

  1. Rush generic loot multipliers first (rares, rarity, Talisman effect, magic monsters).
  2. Fully clear the Atlas as you go — don’t leave nodes unallocated.
  3. Identify the one or two mechanics you farm and take their dedicated nodes (pack size for ritual, monster weakness + rarity for breach, etc.).
  4. Allocate biome nodes to match — e.g. swamp for boss juice, forest/desert for rare juicing, grass for the perfect-currency upgrade.
  5. Swap the flexible third biome (mountain/desert) depending on the day’s strat.

Risks

  • Biome and mechanic choices are situational — a tree tuned for boss juicing is not optimal for raw-currency breach, so retune when you change strats
  • Some node interactions (e.g. whether linear-support nodes affect Sulphuric Tract / Rocky Arbutus maps) are unconfirmed — verify against the source video before relying on them
  • This is a framework, not a fixed import; if you follow a dedicated strat guide, defer to its specific node list
