Strategy
Every farming plan has “travel maps” between the nodes you actually care about, and this method makes those maps pay for themselves with Delirium. You slot Delirium tablets, clear to the end of the map as fast as possible, kill the boss and move on. Delirium in PoE 2 is fast and surprisingly easy compared with its PoE 1 reputation, and it juices monsters with extra item quantity on top of its own rewards: Simulacrum Splinters and liquid/crystallised emotions.
When a Raven Trickster spawns a Grand Mirror nearby, run that map: two bosses appear at the end, and killing them lets you place a large patch of permanent Delirium fog on the Atlas. Maps inside that fog start at 10% deliriousness and climb toward 200% as you kill monsters, so you can run other mechanics there without tablets and get some of the most juiced monsters in the game.
It suits anyone who wants a fast, low-investment default for in-between maps, and it doubles as a way to prepare juiced zones for other strategies.
Atlas Tree & Setup
- Delirium tree: take essentially every node. The only real choice is Recurring Nightmares; pick the option that spreads Grand Mirror fog to four extra maps rather than faster deliriousness stacking. “I Know Your Childhood Fears” is still worth taking after GGG’s ancient-emotion fix.
- Upper section: effectiveness nodes and summoning circles (more splinters from unique monsters, plus a chance at valuable potent emotions from beast/construct bosses). Take Azmeri spirits in Overlord’s Influence: inside Delirium fog they manifest fracturing mirrors.
- Waystones: roll to six mods and corrupt; pack size, rarity and effectiveness are all fine. Run anything that does not drop to tier 14.
- Master: Doryani (Irradiated, Evolutionary Pressure, Improved Calibration, extra revive) with ordinary tablets; Jado with Unexpected Partial Translations, Long Days and Keen Appraisal when your tablets are very well rolled.
- Tablet prefixes: effectiveness, item rarity, rare monsters, monster rarity.
- Tablet suffixes: increased Simulacrum Splinter stack size, fracturing mirrors, mirror shards, and higher chance for unique bosses (Kosis / Omniphobia drop lots of splinters).
Investment & Returns
- Investment: low; self-farm and roll your own tablets instead of buying them
- Returns: mid; a solid linear full-clear map gives roughly 150–200 splinters (a full 300-splinter Simulacrum was around 2.8 Divine at recording), sometimes several raw Divines instead
- Scaling: splinter stack-size tablets plus Jado, and building large fog valleys over cleansed maps or citadels
Step-by-step
- Complete the Delirium questline near the Weeping Willow and allocate the Delirium tree.
- Run travel maps with Delirium tablets; clear quickly and kill the boss.
- When a Grand Mirror spawns, run that map and kill both bosses.
- Place the fog over valuable areas (cleansed maps, citadels) to create a delirious valley.
- Run other mechanics inside the fog, and sell or run the Simulacrums you collect.
Risks
- Splinter yield varies a lot by layout and boss spawns; some maps give fewer than ten
- Delirium tablets drop less often than Expedition ones, so perfect tablets take effort
- Simulacrum runs themselves are a jackpot gamble; the creator mostly sold them
- Buying tablets at high prices is likely a losing trade
