Strategy
This is a profitability deep-dive on farming Tangmazu, the new Delirium pinnacle boss in 0.5. The method is straightforward: buy Ravens Reflections (the fragments needed to open the fight), run the boss repeatedly, and sell the chase drops — Raven Touch shards (which anoint helmets) and Split Personality unique rubies (which let you allocate passives from a different starting point). The creator runs 102 fights back-to-back and tracks every cost and drop in a spreadsheet to answer one question: is it actually worth your time?
The short answer this patch is “not really.” After the 5.3 patch, prices on the chase items dropped hard — Raven Touch shards fell from ~130 to ~70 divines and Split Personality rubies from ~16 to ~10 — so the realized return came out to roughly 5 divines per hour at current values (and up to ~17 div/hr at the old, higher prices). The fight itself is easy, but the loot is too price-volatile right now to recommend as a dedicated money farm.
Atlas Tree & Setup
The creator picks Doryani (Head of the Snake) as the Atlas master so pinnacle bosses have a 25% chance to drop an additional unique — useful because Split Personality rubies are uniques. Jada is skipped (its lineage-gem payoff isn’t worth anything here), and Hilda’s Lethal Adaptation is left as an open question since it’s unclear whether Tangmazu counts as a modifier-bearing unique monster. Cleansed/corrupted area and radiated mods didn’t meaningfully matter for this run. Specifics to confirm against the source video.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: high — each fight costs ~1.5–1.9 divines in Ravens Reflections; a 100-run session is a large upfront buy
- Returns: low — ~5 div/hr at post-patch prices (~17 div/hr at pre-patch prices)
- Scaling: entirely dependent on Raven Touch shard drop rate and the live market price of the chase uniques, both of which trended down after 5.3
Step-by-step
- Buy Ravens Reflections (from Simulacrum) — one stack per fight
- Set the Atlas master to Doryani for the extra-unique chance
- Run Tangmazu repeatedly; a Twister/projectile build trivializes the small arena
- Filter for Raven Touch shards and Split Personality rubies; vendor or ignore the low-value bulk uniques (Vel Piercers, Ospixes, Sadu’s Mercy)
- Track spend vs. earnings to confirm the farm is net positive before committing a long session
Risks
- Chase-item prices are volatile and fell sharply after the 5.3 patch
- Raven Touch shards are rare — a session can easily net only one or two
- High upfront fragment cost means a bad-luck streak can run a net loss
- Walking up to and through the boss intro gets tedious over 100+ runs
