Strategy
This method farms the Bodach — the pinnacle boss reached through the Rite of the Nameless — on repeat, buying the entry items in bulk and selling the boss’s unique drops. Each attempt needs five Call of the Shadows attached to the effigy in Caer Tarth, so the farm is essentially a bulk buy-in followed by hours of identical boss runs.
The creator ran a six-hour test from a 300 Divine purchase of roughly 825 Call of the Shadows (about 165 attempts). Known loot value came to around 1,234 Divines, or roughly 205 Divines per hour gross and about 155 per hour after subtracting the buy-in. The result was carried by three Carved Majesty drops (around 370 Divines each at the time); the creator saw roughly one every two hours, but warns that a session without them would look very different.
It suits players who already have a few hundred Divines to invest, a character that kills the Bodach comfortably, and patience for a repetitive loop. The fight itself is not hard — the main cost is time spent on loading screens and unskippable animations.
Atlas Tree & Setup
- Atlas notable for mysterious gifts — it drops Cryptic keys regularly and counts the Bodach as a pinnacle encounter
- Keen Appraisal for more exceptional items found
- Exact atlas point allocation and character requirements should be confirmed against the source video
Investment & Returns
- Investment: high — about 300 Divines for ~165 attempts (five Call of the Shadows per run)
- Returns: ~205 Divines/hr gross, ~155 Divines/hr net in the creator’s six-hour session, valued at listed prices
- Scaling: returns are dominated by rare Carved Majesty drops; secondary loot includes Carved Cunning, Primal markings, scepters, wands and short bows that occasionally sell for 5–35 Divines after corrupting or quality work
Step-by-step
- Buy Call of the Shadows in bulk — five per attempt.
- Go to Caer Tarth and attach five to the effigy to build the structure.
- Perform the Rite of the Nameless, descend, and walk into the darkness until the Bodach knocks you down.
- Damage him until he vanishes, then follow the guardians and green wisps through the darkness.
- In the second phase, dodge the aerial slam and finish the fight.
- Loot, portal to hideout, reload Caer Tarth and repeat.
Risks
- Heavy variance: one session’s profit can hinge on two or three expensive drops
- Around 1.5 of every 2 minutes per run is loading screens and animations, so the loop is very tedious
- Figures are valuation-based; much of the loot was still listed, not sold
- Prices of Carved Majesty and entry items can shift quickly
