Strategy
This is a zero-investment Expedition farming routine for patch 0.5 that the creator uses to pull roughly 45–60 divines per hour with no rarity gear and no juicing budget. The core idea is speed and volume: rather than fully clearing every remnant chain, you travel quickly between Grand Expeditions on the ocean-biome atlas, detonate the runic rare monsters and rare chests that drop Expedition Log Books, and grab currency chests along the way. Log Books sustain themselves — the creator finds one roughly every three maps — which lets you keep opening more Expeditions and effectively print divines.
The patch-0.5 enabler is Liquid Visium, now sold via the league NPC (Mr. Pharaoh). You convert Visium into Liquid Visium and use it to reroll boring remnant recipes into better outcomes, keeping the rarest result. That single tool turns a few divines of Liquid Visium into hundreds of divines of good remnants over a session.
Atlas Tree & Setup
Take the Expedition speed nodes (explosives continue after only 50% of monsters are slain), chance for an additional Visium remnant, better chance for Log Books from runic monsters, and the 25% chance for Visium remnants to count as affected by a power rune — the power rune upgrades every runic modifier and improves overall loot. Pick Forest for more rare monsters (which also means more runic rares and more Log Books) or Swamp (which can convert Exalted Orbs into the more valuable Chaos Orbs). For the atlas master, run Doriani with Partial Translation (increased effect of explicit modifiers on tablets) and Eastern Knowledge (reroll a Visium remnant keeping the rarest outcome). Run fully upgraded, corrupted Tier 15–16 waystones so your maps carry as many mods as possible — skimping on waystone tier wastes your rarity and Log Book chances. Specifics to confirm against the source video.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: low — zero rarity gear and only basic radiated tablets/stones needed for the core loop; a little Liquid Visium for rerolls
- Returns: high — the creator reports 12,000 Visium (~800 div equivalent), plus Alder Sagas, Exalts and Chaos, netting ~45–60 div in one hour
- Scaling: an optional second stage invests Alder Sagas on high-tier maps to guarantee bosses and roll Super Grand Expeditions, pushing well into the hundreds of divines per session
Step-by-step
- Finish the atlas quest line so Grand Expeditions unlock, then run basic radiated tablets and travel between rumors.
- Place explosives to cover the biggest rare monsters and currency chests; detonate and grab Log Books + currency, skipping low-value layouts.
- Reroll boring Visium remnants with Liquid Visium, keeping the best recipe; check remnant/rune prices on poe.ninja before committing.
- Bank your Log Books and use them on good island maps identified via the rumor list.
- On strong maps, activate Alder Sagas to guarantee bosses and roll Super Grand Expeditions (5+ rune slots per remnant) for the big payouts.
Risks
- Misusing Alder Sagas on weak rumors can destroy Grand Expedition maps and wipe your profit — only activate them on maps you have already scouted as valuable.
- Playing every remnant in a chain drags maps out for little gain; the strategy depends on moving fast and ignoring most side content (Abyss, Ritual, strongboxes).
- Some maps have terrible layouts or too few explosives post-patch — scout once, then skip if there is no 10-rune remnant.
- The second, saga-invested stage is a gamble and not for players still building their first endgame character.
