Strategy
This is an “ethical” Vault Temple / Atziri farm — a cheap, simple-to-run rotation that stays consistently profitable without the convoluted (and repeatedly nerfed) snake strategies. The appeal is that it never reduces to mindlessly jackhammering one boss: it alternates mapping and temple runs, so it feels far better to grind while still printing some of the most valuable currencies in the game.
It works this patch because the Vault Temple drops a lot of raw currency plus temple-specific currency (Vault Cultivation Orbs, Architect’s Orbs, Vault Catalyzing Infusers) that sell for divines, alongside jackpot items like the Azerius Communion lineage support and various Atziri uniques. Profit per hour scales with RNG and clear speed, but the floor stays positive even on average luck.
It’s aimed at any mapper who wants a low-cost, repeatable strategy to fold into general Atlas progression — you use Vault tablets as your travel strategy while hunting Citadels and Cities, then cash out the temple in between.
Atlas Tree & Setup
Run three Vault Temple tablets in every map to guarantee at least three Vault Beacons; you need to activate six beacons to assemble one temple set. The key tablet suffix is “chance to get an additional crystal from Vault Beacon” — three good rolls can yield roughly one temple per map. On the Atlas tree, the creator runs Doryani (top-left box) with six-mod maps and prioritizes: Offerings to the Queen (rare beacon chests + temple currency), Patrolling Legions (beacon unique monsters), Projected Treasures + extra restricted rooms from the Architect, and Riches of the Empire (15% chance to duplicate temple currency). Avoid trap nodes like Secrets of the Ancients (rewardless terraforming rooms) and essence-monster nodes that just add danger. Specifics to confirm against the source video.
Investment & Returns
- Investment: low — three cheap Vault tablets per map and a basic Atlas spec
- Returns: high — temple-specific currency and raw divines, with jackpot potential from Azerius Communion (~120 div) and Atziri uniques (5–20 div each)
- Scales with clear speed and RNG; mostly a mapping strategy with a little bossing
Step-by-step
- Slot three Vault Temple tablets in each map and clear, walking onto and activating every Vault Beacon (kill the pack, step on the beacon).
- Always kill map bosses and prefer beacon unique monsters; collect six beacon activations to open a temple set.
- In the temple, run a “setup” pass: build a main street straight toward Atziri, kill the Architect, and place the Royal Access Chamber near your path.
- On the next pass (with the Royal Access Chamber up and connected), clear through to Atziri and kill her, then mop up the Architect last (he’s the deadliest).
- Burn medallions as they come, upgrade valuable rooms (Smithy, Thaumaturge, Corruption Chamber, Sacrificial Chamber) to tier three, and repeat the setup/kill cycle.
- When temple runs are exhausted, go map for more beacons and rinse and repeat.
Risks
- Profit per hour is RNG-dependent; jackpot items (Azerius Communion) are rare
- The temple room-connection mechanic is fiddly — you can’t freely link rooms, so routing to Atziri takes practice
- The Architect’s hard-to-see Frost Nova can kill you; dying in the temple nukes the rest of that temple’s rooms
- GGG has been actively nerfing temple strategies mid-league, so payouts may shift
